I can’t say enough good things about Vod’s Here! A group of us recently took the Embroidery 101 class, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. Some of us aren't particularly crafty (and all of us were total beginners with embroidery), but Vod’s guidance made everything not only doable but genuinely enjoyable. She’s a fantastic teacher—patient, encouraging, and full of helpful tips that made us all confident to jump right in whether we were nailing a new stitch or making a mess of our work. You can really tell Vod loves what she does, and it made us all enjoy the class that much more.

The shop itself is warm and inviting, packed with supplies that Vod was all too happy to explain to us. It’s clear that so much thought and care goes into everything she does. Vod is great and so knowledgeable! I have taken two private sewing lessons with her. I had absolutely no experience with a sewing machine, and she was sure to take her time in explaining things to me and giving lots of helpful tips. In our first lesson, I made a bean bag, and then we started on an apron! She was extremely well prepared for our appointments and had the supplies ready when I got there. The space itself is small, but is cute and clean and has everything you need. There is a retail space with supplies you can purchase, as well as a ton of art all around. Vod is a light! She has such a vibrance to her that so many people lack, and you can tell she's confident in her craft as a sewist, teacher, and everything between. I took her 1-on-1 class to learn some more basics on sewing as I ventured into a new skill and hobby. It was very rewarding, and I walked away a bit more confident in my leap into this craft! I look forward to attending future workshops at Vod's Here to connect with others (it's great she has cultivated a chance for community to grow!) and learn more from here.
