Amy's Casual Comfort On 6th — Local services in Tacoma

We are new to the area.. & began looking for a mattress store, which can be overwhelming, the mattress sales game - its like shopping for a used car.. we found Amys Casual Comfort. We were just going to "look" as we are good shoppers.. We went to Amys on a whim... my husband & I don't always agree on what feels good on our backs. We decided to check out this store- we walked in- there was no pressure. just good knowledge. we felt at ease.. then, we began trying out beds.. a great selection of healthy, quality products on hand.. for a moment, it did not seem my husband & I would agree on a mattress that we both felt good on. ( we were also only looking) Then we found one.. wow. it felt so good. the other big wow, was the price.. it was so affordable.. we had expected to pay quite a bit more, having purchased many mattresses in the past. We purchased the bed, pillows, sheets, & wool mattress pad. The delivery was awesome. We absolutely love our bed.. and set a record for the first time, walking into a store, and purchasing without going to many many stores.. looking for "the deal". We are so happy, Amy was awesome- she knows her products and prices. Bamboo sheets & great selection of healthy pillows.....

Right after Casual Comfort Futons opened I bought one. I even posted a positive review on Yelp. Well the futon has been delivering great sleeping over the past few years. But my yelp review, which as I said was positive, was deleted. Allegedly, Yelp extorts vendors who get positive reviews to buy positioning on the internet, and if one allegedly doesn't pay, the positive reviews vanish! I know mine sure did. In any case, please ignore Yelp. BTW you may see negative reviews of this business on Yelp, an organization I've never trusted. Remember what yelp means-- a noise a dog makes, not something voiced-- let alone written-- by a human. The word "yelp" itself denotes complete denigration of both the person writing a "Yelp" review, and the person reading it. I have had this futon for nearly two years, and I love it. We were looking for a good quality futon mattress after we found a nice frame, and based on the reviews of several places (online stores, a Portland store, another Tacoma store, and this one) we decided to try Amy's. Amy was friendly, patient, helpful, and knowledge about her products and how to care for them. She listened to our expected usage and recommended two futon mattresses based on that, allowing us to test each one in the store and see which we preferred. She was great, recommending products without pressuring us.

We've had ours for about 3/4 of a year, and it's still comfortable, but we use ours as our primary couch in the living room so it gets a LOT of use. It is more compressed in the middle than the sides at this point. If you need a futon for this kind of use, get the loftiest one you can, because even with rotation every three months it will compress in the middle somewhat, though certainly it's still much better than a cheaper...
