Shoe Dept. — Local services in Tahlequah

My mother-in-law visited your store in Tahlequah this afternoon to return a pair of shoes that had fallen apart, less than a month after purchase. Unfortunately, we don't live nearby, or we would have returned them sooner.

The manager on duty, an older brunette woman, assisted my mother-in-law. Regrettably, the experience was far from satisfactory. The manager initially claimed she couldn't accept the return, citing that the shoes were 'worn out.' However, it was only the side of one of the shoes that had fallen apart, not the soles. The interaction with the manager was quite argumentative, and after a prolonged discussion, she reluctantly agreed to provide a refund of $21.89 out of the $54.74 spent on the shoes.

This experience was incredibly frustrating. I hope the owner takes note of this review and addresses the situation with the employee...

I have never had a bad experience at the tahlequah shoe department until i went to return a pair of shoes my daughter try on an step out on my front porch with an was told she had wore them so they couldn't take them an was told i could bring them back Monday to discuss it either with her boss she didn't even try to call her boss or anything just turn me away . Even when i went to steal buy the paper of shoes and two other pairs i got told i was being rude to her over it because i i steal wanted to buy the shoes for my child and wasn't very talkative to her . I even left the shoes and proof of purchase there because i live 30-40 minutes away . There employees arnt very helpful and if they think they cant take them there should be a better way to get a hold of the manger to find out . Not turn...

Store is outdated. I asked to speak to the manager (about boxes holding shoes), and employees told me she wasn’t there, and doesn’t normally work Sundays but to check back tomorrow. I think they should have a better selection of what the customers are listening to, besides news, and politics, which is what we already listen to on Facebook.
