El Molcajete — Restaurant in Tahlequah

Although I frequent this place for take out only, I can still say it's my favorite mexican food place in town. The staff is very customer oriented. Someone who has command of English is always nearby, and after ordering I have a favorite spot at the bar where I sit and wait on my order. I watch tv, or read flyers that are in the entrance. The wait is always around 10 minutes no matter how swamped they are. They pack up my to go order well. It makes it home safely and hot. Parking there is ample and spacious. You don't have to worry about someone backing into your car, hitting your car with their door, or just plain running into it. Dining hours are good and they have good prices on lunch specials. We had a large group that arrived after church. There were 8 of us. We told the hostess ( actually the only person we could find) that there were 8 of us. There were about 10 groups behind us. She seated a group of 2 before us, then a group of 5, another group of 2 and so on. She then, after 30 minutes, seated a group of 9. We brought this to her attention to which she replied, "you never spoke to me and I did not realize you were waiting" really????? Why else would we be in your restaurant? We asked to speak to the manager and she repeated the lie to him. He told us he would have a table for us in 10 to 15 minutes. We left and have no intentions of ever going back. Had the nachos Supreme and there was more grease from the ground beef than there was actual ground beef. Trying to eat nachos that everything falls off and drips a spoonful of grease everytime you pick one up is not acceptable. I've had better nachos at taco bell!! My mother had the taco salad and the shell was actually floating in a pool of grease on the plate! Manager come to the table (didn't ask to see him) and asked how everything was and when we answered he had didn't have any care in the world that the food wasn't fit to eat, by man or animal.
