This little Mexican restaurant surprised me. I really wasn’t expecting the food to be this good. It was fabulous. My wife had the Enchiladas Verde. Three big corn tortillas filled with seasoned chicken, smothered with freshly made green sauce, and as an extra touch, covered with grilled onion, cilantro and a generous sprinkle of cotija cheese. A tasty plate of fancy enchiladas, not typical of small town OkieMex joints. My Torta was remarkable. I am sticking firm to this assessment…It was the best that I have ever had!! A fresh soft bolillo, mayo, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, cheese and a little avocado. I got the two meat Torta. Tender flavorful barbacoa and carnitas prepared properly with a nice crispy fried finish. An excellent sandwich. The sandwich was wrapped up tightly in paper, holding the loaded hand meal together until I pealed it back. I devoured the sandwich. Great service, clean comfortable restaurant. Impressive food. Another great option in Tahlequah. Read moreThis place has regular sized tortilla tacos. Usually okay if small tacos have 2 tortillas. 2 tortillas on big tacos is kind of a stretch in my opinion. Went for taco Tuesday, 1.25 tacos for 10 tacos. 12.50 in tacos somehow went to 16$ and change after ringed up. Cash as well, so there was no card charge. It’s quite busy so they pump out tacos a little bit too fast. Thick big 2 tortillas with little to an okay amount of meat. The tortillas also didn’t feel cooked enough. So I could tell it was a rushed order. Understaffed or not, rushed food is never good food. To me, it cost a good dinner with my wife. Had to get something else that wasn’t already cold. They do give out what I think is complementary salsas and onion and lime. The other food might be good. This particular evening I felt rushed on my order even though I was willing to sit and wait. 3 stars mainly for its “low price” amid inflation. Quantity should be...
Read moreMy friends and I were camping near by and it started pouring rain so we decided to head into town and get dinner. This was the only place that wasn't about to close so we decided to give it a try. I had the Fajitas and queso and guac for appetizers both were very good and would highly recommend both. The Fajitas came in a reasonable amount of time and were very tasty my only recommendation is giving all of the other sides that usually come with it like sour cream and cheese but other that that...
