Asian Star — Restaurant in Tahlequah

It is hard to go wrong at Asian Star. They have the best Crab Rangoon in Tahlequah, hands down. Whenever, I go with my family, 4 orders of Crab Rangoon are requested. WE DO NOT SHARE! I am a personal fan of their Tempura Shrimp & Veggies. It is my absolute favorite! The shrimp are large and long, tender and juicy with that flaky tempura breading. They allow me to request no mushrooms and the tempura breaded vegetables are yummy! I love the large slice of sweet onion the best, but the zucchini, broccoli and sweet potato are also good. My 2nd favorite entree is Chicken with Snow Peas. The white sauce is delicate & delicious. Plus, the water chestnuts and bamboo shoots are the perfect addition. Their egg drop soup is wonderful, as well as, their large fried chicken wings, which they have put back on the menu. Okay, you should be starving by now. I am. Go...

Food is ok, dined in this restaurant 3 times within 2 years, all 3 times i have ordered the steamed rice and every time i can never eat it. There always seems to be a weird smell to it as if rodents have gotten into it. Why have i continued to order the steamed rice? In hopes that whatever the issue caused this unappealing scent was rectified, as like i said dined 3 times in 2 years you would think issue might have been corrected. This i think will be my last time dining here. On a more overall observation of dining in Oklahoma, i noticed restaurants in Oklahoma are not required to present their grade given them by food inspection, i moved here from California where all restaurants are required to present such grading in the windows of their establishments, i think Oklahoma should require the same from local restaurants for the safety...

Ordered at the drive thru, then had to wait 13 minutes for food. Unfortunately, this was 13 minutes of torture watching the server blow her nose touch every surface and never use sanitizer in between. Meanwhile, closing people's ordered foods and putting cutlery that is not prepackaged in the bag. Guss se has to ensure its the correct order going in the bag but hand hygiene would be great. I have not had visions of how my family was going to eat extra snot seasoning since the food is hot and the fingers touching the lids and forks have snot, so it's likely to mix with the steam and run in the container into the food. 😨 How gross is that food for thought?I 🤢 Stay home if your sick.
