Not an easy subject to discuss..my Dad passed on December 16th 2021..I found Blount and Curry on Google and what can I say..they were simply the best. Adam, the funeral director, and his team were just wonderful. They made such a difficult time so painless for me and my family. They handled everything from the burial to the service and the beautiful reception in the 1929 bar, that is attached to the funeral home. We really celebrated Dads life; they did a 3D display of Dad's life and had his favorite cars on the walls and they could not be more accommodating for us and especially my Mother. After 65 years of marriage this was an unexpected passing and Adam and his team went out of there way to accommodate any and all requests. Dad was a retired officer in the United States Coast Guard and they made all the arrangements including the guard of honor and even the smallest detail like having his hearse with USCG magnetic signs on both of the doors. I can't say enough about their professionalism, dedication, empathy, and genuine concern they showed to make everything perfect. Please visit them even for pre planning..they are simply the best. I know my Dad would have loved it..My family thanks you guys for everything you have done for us..from Dorothy, Linda, Cindi, Summer, Danielle, Elle, Joshua, Ariel, Mango and Cinnamon..    Read moreAdam, Tucker, and his team were nothing shy of amazing! My father suddenly passed away and we scattered to plan without any knowledge of how my father wanted his service to be. With the help of Adam, Tucker, and the team, a Celebration of Life was held which fully represented my father and my vision came to life! I would have considered myself a more difficult client and had many asks of Adam. He never failed to meet all changes and asks that I had revolving my father's service. Communication was never a question and all questions were answered within 24 hours, and I had many. The day of the service the vision came to life. We provided Adam a vision of who my father was and he made each room feel like my dad. Don't even get me started on the speakeasy, what an amazing addition! Adam's attention to detail at the funeral home and updates made with new plants and lighting only made the Celebration more beautiful. The facility is clean and up-to-date and feels bright on a sad day. My family and I were made sure to be taken care of day of and checked on periodically by the whole team at B&C. I would highly recommend having your service here, I still hear to this day how perfect the service was and how well it represented my father, so thank you Adam and team for all you did to make our sad time a little...
Read moreBlout and Curry has actually managed to make the process of putting my loved one to rest MORE UPSETTING than the actual death! The (not so) gentleman, upon the initial consultation forgot not only some of the LEGAL DOCUMENTATION that was required in order to host the funeral but he forgot the flower and keepsake catalogue. Our family member that was planning the funeral is wheelchair bound and cannot get out of the house without a great hassle. Our one main request was that our loved ones obituary was put into the Sunday paper; it was not done. Our director was given plenty of time to make sure the paper received it, but he showed utter incompetence instead. Upon the funeral day, we were assured that our keepsakes were ready. HA! Not only was our director not there, but the keepsakes were not ready and continued to not "be ready" until a week and a half later. The guest book? The fonts didn't match on each page. They apologized and redid the book, the font was STILL WRONG. The receptionist is impersonal and unkind, our director is a straight up idiot and the whole experience has been a nightmare. This is one of the most difficult times in our family's life, and this JOKE of a funeral home and its ill-fitted employees have actually made this situation worse. Go ANYWHERE but to this...
