Deka Lash — Local services in Tampa

UPDATE: They refunded the 2 months membership they charged me but refused to honor their service even though I received a call telling me they would refund everything.

This company basically can give bad service and you still have to pay for it.

I'm contacting the BBB to report this as I've rarely come across a company that won't guarantee their work (with the pictures I provided!) I had to remove them ALL the same day because they looked that bad.

I had my contacts in so couldn't see upclose and I was in a rush when I left. I even said I couldn't see them. I called less than an hour later...

"Even though you live over an hour away and only came ALL the way up here for the only available appointment, you will have to drive all the way back up there to get them fixed" (Zero customer service) "And you CAN'T CANCEL the membership for TWO MONTHS so even though you are very dissatisfied and can't drive all the way back up there, there's nothing we can do."

So, basically, I'm out $130/mo for two months for ONE set of lashes that are awful.

How's that for...

Update:STAY AWAY! After my initial review, the salon contacted me to offer a redo. I returned on Sunday (three days later) with no eye makeup or remaining lashes. The same technician did my lashes again, using a different technique and assuring me she'd do her best. The lashes looked better this time, some still fell off immediately after, but the rest seem to be holding up better than before. I recently moved to Florida from Texas, which is the only reason I’ve been searching for a new lash salon. Unfortunately, the search will continue...

When I initially booked my appointment, I was given a special promotional price, which was clearly confirmed by the salon at the time of booking. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was told that the price had changed and I was expected to pay significantly more than what was originally agreed upon. This kind of behavior is extremely unprofessional and left me feeling taken advantage of. It’s frustrating and unfair to be quoted one price and then charged another with no clear explanation or warning. It shows a serious lack of transparency and respect for clients. Unfortunately, this experience has made it clear to me that this business is not reliable and not trustworthy.
