I had a new acrylic set put on in early Feb of 2025. The nail artist was a bit condescending even though I booked with him based on word of mouth recs. He also used a white powder without clarifying that I couldn't get clear in the future which was whatever. I typically paint them black anyways. Fast forward 3ish weeks and they are lifting. Typically my sets last 4 weeks. I've had many sets over the last 20 years so I am aware of how long my nails stay on based on my activity level etc. I go in on my birthday for a refill because there's a birthday discount. Perfect timing, a little earlier than I prefer but whatever. It ended up being that the discount is actually a gift card for future use... So definitely do not trust that a discount offer is actually a discount on the day it says. I chose not to go back to the guy who put my nails on 3 weeks prior because he was so rude so I went to a new guy. He lectured me about the white powder and said he couldn't find reference on my profile as to what shade it was (wonderful đ) then I asked for a reshape to stiletto or something a bit sharper. He said it couldn't happen but filed them down to what is definitely still an oval shape.... Then charged me for a reshape, even though he legit filed the same shape just added in the growth/ cleaned it up a bit. I was like no big. Then 6 days later a nail lifted, on a fresh refill and 2 days after a second nail lifted. As mentioned this is not normal. I don't ever have nails lift or break. I went in to have them fix it and the lady was nice, they comped the replacement but when she shaved it down the nail was black with moisture. Mind you this is a fresh set from this salon with one refill +6 days so we are talking one month. That is not normal and I don't know if it was a sanitary issue or not but between that, the attitude of the workers, the charge for the reshape and the discount bait and switch. I would suggest taking your business somewhere else. I will admit they have good pricing but after seeing the...
Read moreI came in for the first time ever 2 days ago for a GelX full set. Everyone I spoke to was very kind. However during my service, I noticed the adhesive was applied very thick and unevenly which made my overall nail very thick. I expressed that I did not like it. The woman doing my nails kept saying she would fix it at the end but she carried on with painting and curing my nails anyway. She insisted it was the coats of paint making it thick but it wasnât. I kept telling her for 30 minutes that it wasnât the paint that bothered me, but the actual application of the gel x nails. However, she was continuing all the steps to finish the nails without going back to fix the nail application. Finally I told her to take them all off and I left. Now I was not going to write a review for this. I am writing review based on the pain I am still enduring 2 days later. During the nail preparation, she did not use any proper methods for removing my cuticles. She used several drill bits to dig into the skin around my nails. These drill bits were not sanitized in any way that I could tell. Even after pulling my hand away in pain and seeing visible cuts, she just pressed them with her bare hands, no cleaning of the wounds, and just kept going until all 10 of my fingers were cut, bleeding and sore. She kept applying acetone into the cuts and I was very much in pain and still am 2 days later. Pics attached are of my cuticles 2 days post service and with my own polish applied layer at home. I will say they offered to fix it and have someone else do it and they did apologize. However after 2 hours wasted there and the amount of pain I was in, I could not justify going through another nail service immediately after. The salon itself was very cute and very busy. You could tell they had many happy customers. I just wish it had...
Read moreThe service itself was good, however when it came time to pay they had an announcement that said students received 10% off on Monday so i presented my student ID and the man cashing me out said that the discount would go on a gift card for a future service, I tried to ask why I wasnt getting my discount on todays service and he responded that thats just how it is and handed me a $5 gift card which wasnt even 10% of my $85 service. In that moment I decided I wouldnât be coming back to this business ever again so I gave my friend my $5 gift card so that she could use it towards her payment but she already had a $5 gift card from a previous visit and they wouldnât allow her to use both gift cards on one transaction. Both very disappointed with the scam these people are running we handed the extra gift card to another customer that was waiting to be serviced and we left. How can you claim to offer 10% discount on mondays and then give me a $5 gift card and say that next time ill get the discount, it doesnât make sense and since when does a company limit you to one gift card per transaction. I will not be coming back and I will not recommend this...
