Downtown Food Mart — Local services in Tampa

Can't recommend this place enough. Their customer service is absolutely top tier. I've lived in the neighborhood for nearly 11 years, and when current ownership took over several years ago, this became THE corner store.

There's a great selection of products here. Whether you're looking for chips, beer, late night munchies, or an energy drink, this place has got you covered. There's even a small counter that has glass tobacco smoking products, for those who partake.

The owners and employees are fantastic. Not once have I ever had a negative experience with anyone who works here. They are SO nice, go out of their way to answer questions, make suggestions, and help out. They recognize me when I come in, and have even put in special request orders for my favorite beer, Cigar City Florida Man. They are ALL about their customers and that's why they stay busy.

The ONLY negative thing I can think of are some of the customers. A select few who come in and make (often explicit) comments to me and other female shoppers. Then proceed to hold up the entire line for their stupid 50 cent Pick 5 lotto numbers or whatever. Some customers are a little rough around the edges, but the owners/employees make me feel safe and they keep the line moving as fast as possible.
