Dustin is born and bred in the Tampa area and it shows, he knows every inch of water and will put you onto the fish, the rest is up to you!

My angling experience was primarily freshwater and so the saltwater game was completely new to me - this wasn't an issue. Dustin is an excellent teacher with a lot of patience and a very relaxed manner - I'm already a greatly improved saltwater fly fisher because of him.

There's also never a dull moment on the boat and the craic is mighty! (as we say in Ireland)

I've currently my 4th trip booked and hopefully many more to come.

Capt Dustin took my brother and I out 2 separate days and I could not be happier with the results. He is extremely knowledgeable about the water he takes you on and you can tell he has been doing this for quite a while. He was patient with us as we are not used to fish spooking away from us as easy as these do, and will give you as good as an opportunity to catch these fish as anyone will. His boat is perfect for poling the flats with the stealthiest approach possible. Not to mention the tackle and rod/reel setups you will use while with him are state of the art. If you want an extremely enjoyable experience on a spotless, comfortable boat with the best tackle available throwing hand tied flies then I would recommend Captain Dustin without second thought. Really enjoyed my day on the water with Captain Dustin. I feel very lucky to have landed with Fly Tide Charters during my recent trip to Tampa. Dustin is the exact type of guide I appreciate... He had us on fish quickly and provided me with many legitimate shots at some very nice redfish.. certainly more than I was expecting. He has an impressive knowledge of the current state of fishing in the bay and has a mind for the ecology and conservation of the fishery. He is also very easy-going and friendly. Those of us who don't fish the flats everyday don't hit the water with dead eye accuracy... some guides don't do well with that. Dustin couldn't have been more patient. His boat is super nice and is provisioned with some very nice rods, reels and flies. When my travels take me back to Tampa, I'll definitely book with Captain Dustin again and would recommend him...
