This is my second time booking a fishing charter with Captain Trajan of Trey Rod fishing charters. The first time fishing with him we caught around 60 over slot bull red fish within a few hours of non stop fish catching which I had never experienced anything like that before on any previous charters. This second time he took us out we had an Incredible time slaying the silver king tarpon, or should i say being slayed by the silver king. 😅 what amazes me more is how knowledgeable, gifted, humble, and considerate Captain Trajan is. Anybody looking for a fishing charter guide that is absolutely the best there is in the Tampa Bay Florida area and will cater to your fishing goals and desires needs to look no further because you have found the best of the best. The only thing you should avoid from here is waiting to call and book your appointment now ahead of time because he is super highly sought after and the last time it took me a while to find an available spot on his calendar. If you are looking for the best tarpon guide in Tampa look no further! Trey will get you on a Tarpon no matter what. We had an extremely difficult day of fishing, we fished multiple spots and spotted plenty of fish but no bites. Even so Trey never gave up on trying to get me hooked up on a big one. We hit multiple locations and he had different methods of fishing each one, I was really impressed with his knowledge and skill on tarpon.

Literally the last 15-20min left of the trip we get smoked on a rod and the battle with the Silver King started! I’ve caught some big fish before but nothing has beating me down like the Silver King. It was honestly just bliss for me, the sound of the screaming reel, the beautiful dance of jumping out of the water and bow from the boat. I really can’t describe the happiness I felt. After 30min fight we landed the Silver King and safely released it to fight another day.
