SUY’S MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Tampa

I’m mexican so I know what REAL authentic mexican food tastes like and I was honestly so disappointed trying their food given that they have 5 stars. I ordered the enchiladas platter and the salsa verde taste SO sour, the rice and beans are plain, it tastes as if they didn’t even add salt to it. I also ordered a sope de chorizo and it also tastes like you’re just eating unseasoned meat. My husband ordered a taco de carnitas and a sope and he said he didn’t even know what meat he was eating because neither of them had flavor at all. Also the “hot sauce” aka salsa are not spicy at all and they taste very sour. It’s almost like they used tomatoes that were still ripe to make the salsas. Very disappointing given the reviews but then again I don’t think people writing them know what real authentic Mexican food tastes like. Food was so bad it ruined me & my husband’s appetite especially because we were craving authentic Mexican food. There’s other restaurants such as Lolis or Crazy burrito that taste better than this place and i’m not even a “huge” fan of those restaurants so...

Got to be honest I don’t post many reviews, but as I stuff my face right now felt I had to. Got 3 Birria, 1 taco Asada, 1 taco Pastor, and 1 Carinitas. This place was down the street from me not even a mile so really wanted to check it out.

This place is phenomenal. The ladies behind the counter were really sweet and welcoming. Everything by was packaged very neatly. The tacos also followed with the amazing experience. My husband and I happened to be in the area and wanted to try this new restaurant, opened just two weeks ago. We had their chips and Caldo de Res (beef soup). The beef and cabbage was very tender. It also had some corn, potatoes, carrots, garbanzo beans. It comes with tortillas, rice, and cilantro and onions on the side. It was delicious, perfectly season! not salty at all.
