AWFUL! They have screwed me over so many times now. I spent an extra semester just getting the prerequisites that should have been built in to my AA for my bachelor degree. Now I am having to spend an extra semester just to finish my Bachelors because guess what...they messed up again! And the cherry on top...called them to get something worked out over the phone cause I live over 45 minutes away from campus and was told it could be worked out over the phone but would take 3-5 business days. Well since I was adding a class that started in 4 days I hopped in the car drove all the way out there, sat there for 45 minutes waiting on the adviser, talked to him fro 5 minutes and left with nothing being resolved. Left with a page of number of other people to call because the advisers never really help you! Now I call the dean and a chairman to get the issue resolved and am still waiting on a response which I probably won't get because they close at 7 tonight, 12pm tomorrow, and are closed on Saturday. So consider all other options before St. Petersburg College. They will run you around in circles just trying to get more and more of your money, and all the while you are just trying to do everything you can to get...

Needless to say, SPC has taken me down a path that has left me discouraged as well as feeling forgotten. Being first in my family to attend college I had greater hopes. After receiving very little to no support from advisors, I come to realize you should not expect a response within a weeks time. At orientation I was told SPC treats their students like family but I feel that is not true. They have messed up my courses several times at my expense and have withheld my degree until I have passed the state exams. I was told to pass the exam then receive my well earned degree. But they forgot to mention a time limit and come to find out my course card is now expired and I’m having to RETAKE classes. Again, uninformed or supported in this matter. It’s all about money. They also don’t approve many courses to transfer from other colleges so be sure to do your research before transferring credits around and enrolling at this college. There are a few professors who have left me with experience I am proud of but otherwise please note my disappointment in SPC. There’s no middle ground, just a simple “you’re on your own” feeling and...

The teachers here and education are surprisingly better than I expected. They work really hard to help students succeed and that is something that i’ll miss. However, what leads to me to make this bad review is their horrible financial aid office. Every year I had an issue with my financial aid and the people who work in the departnent are almost incompetent. No one answers the phone and you’re stuck emailing people who really don’t care to help you.
