Dollar General — Local services in Tavares

Went into this location because it was close to other shops I needed to go to. The staff was rude, there were more than 12 rolltainers full of product out on the floor making it hard to maneuver, totes all over 1 area making it hard to reach products. The person who was stocking left a cart in the middle of the aisle so I had to move it out of the way to get passed. She got upset that I moved it, grabbed the cart and almost hit me with it. There were signs all over the store, starting outside about a 50% off sale they were having. When I looked closely, the sale had ended. I went to the cashier and let him know the sale had ended, but the signs were still up and he became confused. He went to the person stocking and she became agitated telling him and everyone one around, "They came in yesterday and said the signs were good, I don't know what you want from me!" Another customer stepped up, clearly shocked at this employess attitude, and told her that the sale was over and the signs had to come down because people were going to want the sale prices. The employee went around 1 area ripping the signs down, but left all the others up. I couldn't find one of the products I needed, but I wasn't about to ask for assistance given the attitude she was already displaying, so I paid for my purchases and left. I do need to point out that this was near the beginning of her shift since it was only 9 am and the store opened at 8. They weren't busy, but she displayed a bad attitude from the moment I wished her a good morning. I definitely will not be going back to...

This was the absolutely worst Dollar General I've ever been in. Filthy! Floors could not have been cleaned in at LEAST three weeks, product all over the floors EVEYWHERE, product in disarray on most of the shelves, trash cans overflowing at the checkout lane and the can outside of the manager's office. The ONLY plus was the cashier and manager seemed pleasant enough, but unfortunately the cashier was obviously not properly trained because when my wife pointed out that she rang up a shampoo bottle twice and didn't ring up the conditioner (same brand and also same price), she decided it it didn't matter since they were the same price. Super rude bleach blonde employee. The store still wasn’t open 5 mins after opening time so I called and she coped an attitude over the phone that it would be open in a “few mins” like I was rude for asking if the store was open when it was 5 mins past and she still had everything locked up and dark. Then she waited another 5 plus minutes before unlocking the front door and just walking away without saying a word and giving a dirty look. If you aren’t capable of being an opening employee and doing your job on time and correctly then you shouldn’t be on that shift it’s not the customers fault for wondering why it’s not open after opening time.
