I’ve been coming here lately and I would have to say compared to the old place. Today I had to edit this cause I came back and I wanna give a shout out to Katie. She goes above and beyond, and I seen her dealing with rude customers with a smile on her face and that goes a long way in my book. Also, the food was delicious. We absolutely loved eating at Japan Express. It was our first time there and with food allergies we are always cautious of where we eat. Our server (who may have been the owner?) went above and beyond to ensure our food was safe of our allergens, was attentive, constantly checking in on us, and she was super kind to our youngest. We went during lunch and our portions were very well served. So much so that we all had tons of left overs that we will enjoy for dinner! We love Japanese Cuisine and Japan Express did not disappoint. I had their miso soup and Chicken Hibachi and everything was great tasting (not overly salty, it was just right). This place was one of our regular places for a long time but the quality has gone way down since they opened another location in Mt Dora and split their good staff. The last time we went our waiter brought the wrong drink order, served me the wrong sushi order, didn't write down our orders and also messed up my husband's order. Overall very dissatisfied that the server seemed stoned and wouldn't improve his memory by repeating back our orders or writing them down.
