I came in to purchase a remote start and alarm system for my wife's vehicle. Selected a system, confirmed with the rep if it worked with an app, which he explained that it would require a separate part, but they don't have one in stock, but can get one from the warehouse. I paid for everything up front so we could just bring the car in for the install when it's convenient for her. Two weeks later, we come to the store under the assumption it's enough time for the part to have arrived. The "Manager", as he declared himself after I wanted a refund, indicated he didn't know anything about the order needing the part, which he also didn't seem to find anything wrong with the fact of not knowing. He also informed me that the part wasn't included in the order and would still need to be paid for, even though this was my request with the original employee. The receipt listed in special instructions to have the Smart App module installed when in stock instead. The other employee, that conveniently took a phone call (on his cell phone) after I entered the store instead of helping a customer (also crazy but apparently we've reached a point of mediocre customer service) came over saying he could pick up the part from the Royal Oak store since he's going there tomorrow, if I still wanted to have the install completed. I declined as I would prefer to take my business elsewhere, due to the lack of care or respect for customers. No issue with the refund but to top it off the "Manager" decided to crumple up the original receipt and toss it in the trash, further letting me know that he found no issue with anything related to the transaction. Read moreUnprofessional install. I came with a kicker amp sub combo that I knew fit behind the back seats of my F150. The manager also witnessed this. Him and the installer convinced me to go with their Rockford fosgate amp sub combo and take the kicker back. They acknowledged my location that I desired and it may take extra cable because of the distance from the battery. The manager was reluctant to install behind the seat but the installer indicated it could be done. I picked up the vehicle and had to split really quick to pick kids up from school. When I got home I realized the back seat was not able to close properly. Not only was the amp/sub not in the location I asked, it didn’t fit and there were scrapes, gouges, and a dented grill. I called about exchanging it or even returning so I could get one that fit in the location. When talking to the manager in person he was making it out to be my fault because I asked for it to be located behind the seats. I decided to keep it so that I could write this review and did not want a display model. The sub sounds great but I paid for a new sub without gouges and dents and scrapes. I asked for a couple feet of cable so I could install further in and was given two pieces of scrap not even the same length. Read moreEditing my previous review. The gentlemen behind the counter were super professional, detailed and I appreciated both of them. My only complaint would be that you purchase a product from them and then take it home, and they do not make an appt for you to have the product installed. It’s first come first serve on another day (walk in). So you have to go back before they open and stand in line; and hope you get to have your product installed that day. They don’t want you to install on your own or somewhere else because that voids the warranty you purchased through them when buying your product. But I would like to add, that even though coming back another day and standing in line, is uncomfortable as a customer… they have wonderful customer service. My remote start fell out a couple of months later and unplugged because it wasn’t zip tied in place. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and asked if I could make an appt to have it fixed… and they took care of it right then and there. They didn’t even look for a purchased warranty. They accepted accountability for the fact that it was probably an error on their end during install and it was not properly put in place so they fixed it immediately for free.
