Sticky USA is a wonderful find in Paso Robles. As a previous online customer, I already knew I liked their hard candy and was surprised to learn they offered free appointments to watch the candy making process, in person. I and 5 others in my family got to watch an entire batch from start (sugar just cooked) to finish (cut warmed candy). Have you ever wondered how they make such pretty, detailed pictures in miniature bites of hard candy?

Craig and Tanner were both a joy to learn from! They shared so many details of candy making, from how they think about the 3D design of a piece, to how they deal with air bubbles, how they make troughs for the color additions, and so much more. They were extremely friendly and fantastic hosts!

As we watched them form the letters, and the picture, it was amazing for me and my kids to ask different questions as they worked. And then they stretch the huge roll of candy down to the proper tube sizes, BY HAND, and hand cut it all too. AND one of the best parts, you get to try the candy when its still warm, which you can never do when you buy it in a store!

The whole process was a bit over an hour for the design we saw (a tombstone for their Halloween mix), and was engaging from start to finish. This is truly a memorable experience that my family will cherish, and one that makes you appreciate the hard work, careful artistry and design that goes into these hand-crafted...

We are from Pennsylvania, but stopped by Sticky in Paso Robles to see a candy making demonstration. You can sign up to see a demo on their website. We learned about Sticky from TikTok/youtube shorts. The original store is in Australia, so I was so happy to see that they expanded to the US!

The people there were so nice! They were very patient with my son and his millions of questions, and were so skilled in their craft. We watched how they poured out the molten hot candy, dye different sections, pull the candy to introduce air, roll it into the desired picture, and finally hand cut each individual piece!

They have dozens of different flavors for sale, and the price for the candy is very reasonable. We especially loved the sour fruit mix, and the sour cherry cola.
