Taco Mayo is by far one of my most favorite fast food guilty pleasures. I've been coming to this location for several years since I've lived in OKC. In the last year, I've noticed that there is not as much care or consistency being done the drive-thru by a couple people working the window. It's hit or miss for me, really. Firstly, if there is a way for the drive-thru guys to either speak a little more clearly and slightly LOUDER, or just turn the speaker volume up, that would be incredibly helpful! I do not have hearing impairment. The drive-thru guys just tend to talk extremely low volume. Secondly, I think there just needs to be a little bit more help sometimes for people to understand customizing items in their system. I think once it took us 5-7 minutes to take my small order with just a couple custom changes (like for example taking off lettuce on a taco, and replacing rice with beans on a burrito). I get it if someone is new and it just takes time. I do want to say that there is a lady who works in the drive-thru who is VERY nice and I always enjoy her! I think there should be a protocol to repeat back orders at the end of an order just to make sure everything is correct with the customer (personal preference). If it is something that is taught that's just not being done, check back with those employees to try to make it more of a habit. The other day I asked for a bean burrito and there was no order playback, just my total, and I opened my burrito to find it was a beef burrito. Just a small disappointment and the first time that had ever happened to me. But it would not have happened if the person just...
ย ย ย Read moreVisited this restaurant for the first time after passing by countless times. Ordered at the drive thru and the gal that assisted was very nice and polite. I asked several questions about the menu items and she answered them all in full with courtesy. I ordered beef nachos and a bean burrito. She offered sauces so I asked for a couple of each one. The bill was very inexpensive and appeared to be a good value. We got home and I opened the nachos and tasted the nacho cheese sauce. Yuck!!!! Another canned watered down queso with no flavor. They placed some sour cream and a glob of what appears to be imposter pico de Gallo sauce. It also was flavorless. The chips were mushy and tasted stale and I ate about 3 bites and out it in the trash. See photos. The bean burrito was actually surprisingly! The tortilla was soft and appeared to be freshly made unlike the other places where the burritos shells almost snap. The beans were delicious and the sauce and cheese in the burrito was very good! So yes on the bean burrito and no on the nachos. Yes on the courtesy! I may go back and just order...
ย ย ย Read moreUsed to really like Mayo. We came here tonight and probably will not be back. First off both of the tacos were crushed. Yes, I know it's not going to be packed with meat and cheese but there was a very little amount of meat and almost no cheese. The burrito was flat which tells you there was pretty much nothing on it. There was more of that red sauce on there than meat. The below is more of a rant for almost all service industries. I think what makes me most upset is that we've grown so accustomed to crappy product we're will to accept stuff like that. People are not willing to put forth their best work at their jobs. And had the person in line been the workers friend so someone they thought was hot, this would not have happened. How about if it doesn't look like the pictures we...
