The Promenade at Westlake — Local services in Thousand Oaks

Love this little hideaway. It's never crowded when I come. I love that. The seating is plush and comfortable. That BBQ jalapeño pizza is amaaaaaazing. This place is super clean. 👌 The only thing I don't like about it was .... Their menu selection is limited When I asked for a bag to bring popcorn home they gave me these little brown boxes that wouldn't close and also had no bags to carry the boxes in so here I am walking out of the theater trying to balance my drink and 3 of these boxes that kept slipping out of my arms and dropping popcorn everywhere it was so annoying. They need to improve on that. I ended up going hoke with only 1 box of popcorn because the rest spilled out.

My suggestion : Order popcorn BAGS for the popcorn to go into the silver bowl is a nice touch 👌 but ... when we want to take leftover popcorn home we need something better than those cardboard boxes. Not sufficient. Otherwise I'd...

Barnes and Noble! First visit there since February. Got gift cards, some magazines, and a crossword puzzle book for gifts. Needed to renew my membership card. Person who helped me was the same person I needed to ask where items were because the layout has been changed so much! I used to go there at least once a month before COVID-19 restrictions went into effect. It was nice to see some of the same people who have provided service there for many years are still there. Knowledgeable and friendly are two of the characteristics I have always associated with the staff at Barnes & Noble. It was reassuring to see that...

Pretty discouraging. The new tenants allowed to lease here are not what I imagined this space would be. Less restaurants and cute shops and more big box stores and fitness studios. I have no reason to go here any more except California Pizza Kitchen, and stopped visiting there when they finally axed simple Spaghetti Bolognese off their menu.

Not a fan of Lassen's, the new cycling fitness studios going in, and CPK/PF Chang's really are not what they used to be. Never cared for Umami. It's a shame Nate & Al's didn't...
