Party Fair — Local services in Tigard

Updated 2/6/24: The manager replied below indicating that I did not have proper recollection of the events. So because they claim to have the proper recollection of the events, despite not being there, I will in fact properly recollect the event.

I noticed that the 34” inch balloon was not fully inflated. I pointed this out to the employee (receipt says Monty) that assisted me. This person advised me that they did not recommend doing that to one of the Tmnt balloons that I purchased because they said it would pop. However, they agreed that they could fill in the 34” inch balloon a little more. I told them that that would work, as in not fill in the Tmnt balloon but to proceed with the filling of the 34” inch balloon. The manager was not present during this interaction. They filled up one balloon at the beginning and then walked off.

And if this is the same person that then was rude when I came back to have the balloon replaced after I had called and spoke with an employee who said that they could, then they responded in a very childish manner to an upset customer.

Brought 20- 18 inch balloons in to be filled for my bridal shower. We paid $50 for the service. They popped one while we were in store (which is fine, I had extras). No one told us- we only heard the pop and went to ask about it. Instead of being nice and apologizing or asking if we had extras when we asked about it, they said in a corporate policy tone that “they can’t guarantee the integrity of balloons that aren’t bought at that store”- we only asked so we could give them some extras in case it happened again. Then, when we were in an aisle close to the balloons they were talking about us and acted annoyed that they had to fill them. I’ve worked in CS before and you do that in the back room and not where the customers can hear you. That’s a basic 101 kind of thing. Almost done, when my mom went to pay for other items the lady didn’t say a word to her and just walked away after her payment went through- she didn’t even say thank you. Thanks for filling the balloons but we won’t ever come back. Glad to know a Party City will be...

wasn't greeted when I walked in, stood in the balloon area for a solid 6 mins while guy behind counter deep in his phone, he eventually realized I was standing there when he started to help me he didn't say much his eyes were extremely red and he smelled really strong of marijuana. older skinny women took over for him because he was as he said "busy". older lady was really nice but seemed un trained when trying to cash me out, they had multiple tip jars with signs saying put money here and tips tips tips, not really sure why anyone would tip, the price of supply's were outrages I didn't get a lot of things I needed simply because Walmart is right across the street and had same or similar items for 25% less then what they wanted. maybe I picked the wrong day to visit this place, however I will stick to Amazon or Walmart from now on. owner needs to look into...
