Incredible atmosphere and incredible service! We came in between the lunch and dinner rush, so we had wonderful service and nice ambiance. Everything we ordered came out piping hot and absolutely delicious, with well balanced flavors and beautiful presentation! We definitely recommend the Omurice combo with the Demiglace, it was delicious with perfect balance of sweet and savory and a perfect egg cut (which the server comes out and does for you! We took a really fun video!) we also loved the fried gyoza, which came with spicy mayo and eel sauce for a perfect flavor blasted bite. The Agedashi Tofu was also very delicious, I was a bit apprehensive about the presentation, as I’m used to the fried tofu coming in a bowl where it can soak up the dashi sauce, but the dashi sauce here is very flavorful and the pour over style is really fun! The Thai Tea was incredible, and I would recommend getting it as part of the combo over the lemonade. I also ordered an Iced Matcha Latte from the Tbaar, and I can confidently say it is one of the best matcha lattes I’ve had. For desert we had the Matcha Tiramisu and the Matcha pudding, which both had great textures and maintained that balance of sweetness and the bitterness from the matcha.
I would definitely recommend coming here, great ambiance, great service, and satisfying and filling food. This restaurant is definitely going into my rotation of...
Read moreThe food was good. We had the combo katsu omurice with curry, tonkatsu spicy ramen, and yakatori. To be fair, this is the only place around here that has it, so I can't compare, but to compare to Japan well, it can't match the same experience, but it's still good. Originally, we wanted to order the honey comb platter (most recommended), but they didn't have it. So we settled for the yakatori. It was good when looking at it, but taste over all, I would say a 6/10. Beef was to chewy, pork skewer barely ang flavors, zucchini skewer well it was just a brush of the marinate on it nothing to special. One skewer in the 4 we got was shrimp and clam, they didn't really explain what it withing the platter (maybe there a description but we didn't read it). The tonkatsu spicy ramen #6 hot was well not as hot as other places we tried locally, broth wise it was good and flavorful. Service was okay, beside ordering our food, they don't check back to ensure we got all the food, nor checked on water refill. Automated 20% selection of tip is way absurd, okay sure if they feel they need to earn that much for that service, then I guess it is what it is. I want to try other foods they have to offer. We will see hopefully the next time the hot...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place. It's so gorgeous inside with all the beautiful decor and design. We went in during the day, but I'd love to see it at night with lots of folks enjoying it. Unfortunately, the food was a deflating experience.
Although the presentation was great with plenty of bonito flakes on top (which I love!), the takoyaki was mushy and lukewarm with chewy octopus bits and crunchy onion. It was giving premade. Undercooked for sure. Sad way to start.
The omurice with demi glace and pork katsu was delicious in flavor, but it also came out barely warm, which bummed me out. It should have been piping hot throughout. Rice didn't look or taste freshly-made.
The katsu was juicy and crispy though, and the sauce and omelette were savory and perfect. I liked that the omurice and katsu were served tableside. My husband said the pork + shrimp ramen was hot and tasty, and he finished it all, which I was happy to see. The cucumber lemonade was lovely and refreshing.
Our main dishes came out together, which was nice. Staff was attentive and friendly, but it took a while for us to get our check.
I hope these were just one-off issues because it would be so great to have a 10/10 experience at this...
