If I could, I would leave 0 stars. Me and my partner first signed up last January and it was great, it's a great environment to work out and we even felt that for the two of us it was reasonably priced. We paid a year up front and got charged monthly for my add-on. Recently we went in to renew the membership after not having had the chance to go in to renew it sooner and got told that they don't do add-ons anymore and we'd have to pay a separate membership fee for each of us- which would have been totally fine if they weren't still consistently charging us for the add-on. Our membership ended in January and now it's March and we've still been getting charged (this is weird but as I had planned to continue going to this gym i wasn't that worried about it). I wouldn't have considered it that big of a deal if the add-on was still something they offered but how are you going to keep charging me discreetly for a service you apparently don't offer anymore past my membership. We also got literally no notification or anything letting us know about the add-ons being discontinued, in any other scenario i wouldn't expect them to reach out and disclose that after our membership period ended but them continuing to just charge our account is just scummy. We have went in and talked about this and called and they just told us they stopped the add-ons last month yet charged us for this month's add-on. The employee also told us when we went in to inquire about these charges that they were not really sure why we were getting charged past our membership end date (not the fault of the employee but even they don't understand the fees and charges they are putting on their customers?) but that the only way to end the add- on charge was to come in and manually cancel it even though they admitted to no longer offering that service- so they basically are scamming people out of money using the cancellation of the add-ons and people not knowing this- as i stated they did not disclose the discontinuation of the add-ons to me or my partner in anyway prior to us going in to attempt to renew.. Also due to us formally cancelling out membership after this awful situation they are going to charge us the add-on fee again!!! in April! I understand a cancellation fee but after getting charged for months secretly after us not renewing our membership in the first place? This is actually insane. Maybe something was seriously miscommunicated when we signed up, I'm not sure but I cannot in good faith recommend this gym to anyone given the weird way they handle their...
Read moreI had signed up for a membership along with my husband. The woman who had given us the tour and signed us up knew nothing of the gym and quite literally was confused!
It went very well for maybe a year as far as our own coming and going and working out. I after a year found a gym closer so I canceled my membership and was told to come in and sign a form. It was NOT a form but a sheet of note paper in one of their notebooks. I did not receive ANY receipt AND I asked a question of them. My question was “will I be charged my next monthly membership fee?” The answer was “No, you will not be charged and your membership will still be good for the remainder of the month. Okay fine except it was a drive for me so I did not return. Fast forward to today and I see a charge on my bank account?!?! I called the gym and asked how did they plan on fixing this error. Jordan gave quite the attitude and when he wasn’t talking over the customer, demeaning the customer he also got snippy! I asked for the manager, was put on hold for a good few minutes and then I had the unfortunate conversation with Jake. It sounded like I was on speaker and he would not listen to my explanation. He had the same attitude as Jordan! I was told since I stopped my membership on a date I wasn’t even AT THE GYM that I had to pay the next month since it was under 30 days. I asked him then why wasn’t I told that answer when I asked it. He said “I dunno.”
Ridiculous behavior. I would understand if I was given a correct response along with good communication skills but these two boys obviously need to correct their behaviors. It is a shame as the appearance of the gym was great and the machines were awesome! The staff need...
Read moreTLDR: weights and machines are VERY hard to get ahold of. 24/7 hours is nice.
Start with the bad- the weight racks are ALWAYS empty. They most certainly do not have enough plates. This was not considered a busy time for them but you’ll have to steal weights from machines. They only have 1 deadlifting platform, which is also attached to a squat rack. At peak times, good luck trying to get it. The squat racks, 2 of them but as I said one is the deadlift platform, and the 2 smith machines are almost constantly in use. You will have to keep a constant eye out and immediately snag it as soon as someone leaves. 2 squat racks (again, one of which is deadlifting so if someone wants to that you’re SOL) is not even close to enough for a gym of this popularity. The dumbbells only have 1 set of every weight, so again during peak time, good luck getting the weights 10lbs-30lbs. Chest press benches and just benches in general are very hard to get ahold of. It gets extremely busy during 3-8pm. You won’t be able to do your workouts in the order you plan them because of weight availability, which is quite frustrating since order matters.
The goods- the front desk people are very nice and helpful. Most of them workout there themselves so they are aware of the issues (hopefully) but unfortunately fixing them is up to the manager to bring up to the owner. I like that it’s 24/7 because I don’t feel pressured to be in and out at certain times. They have a hip thrust machine, which is not something I had seen before and kicked...
