I'm going to start with this, If you value your time and sanity choose literally anywhere else to buy cabinets/countertops from. A month ago hubs and I went into the kuykendahl homedepot we had an appointment with the design specialist to completely design our new kitchen for us. We spent almost 4 hours sitting there designing this kitchen. I was assured multiple times (by employees) that everything in our order would be to correct scale and all items would be available for pick up at the same time (when they call) about a week and a half goes by and my husband finally recieves the call everything is there and ready for pick up. He gets to the store and as the cabinets are being brought out he notices one is completely broken and unusable (one of the custom built cabinets) the associate immediately tried to downplay the damage on the cabinet and even suggested ways my husband could fix it himself. (the entire back board of the cabinet was split down the middle, nor should we have to fix a cabinet we bought new and haven't left the store with. They finally agreed to re order the cabinet for us and let us know when it was in. I really wish that is where the bad experience with this store ended but it gets worse. We had also purchased new countertops a 10 ft laminate with the backsplash attached and a matching 6 ft as well. As the associate is bringing it out my husband notices 2 long orange lines on the top of the 10 ft one and at the end of one of the lines where the seam is there's about a nickle size chip missing out of the laminate in the top of the counter (the particle board was exposed) the associate then informs my husband that it may have been hit with a home depot shopping cart a couple of times while it was in the back then proceeds to ask if that's going to be okay? My husband says no and the associate informs him that if we wanted to exchange it we would have to drive 3 towns over to get one from a different store (they did not have any 10 ft of the one we ordered in stock and had to have ours shipped in with the cabinets.) My husband is then informed that they can't get to 2 of our lage base cabinets in the back and ask if we could come back the next day. (When they could get to them.) My husband leaves and heads to the store at 45 and research. They only had one 10 ft coutertop there and it was so curved it would have rocked on top of our cabinets. So my husband leaves with our original chipped top and we decide to just return the laminate tops and go with butcher block tops instead. It was so much less stressful to just pay for the butcher block tops. (Again I should not have to run around town to fix something i already paid for new that your employees damaged before i got there.) No it's not over yet. Fast foward about 3 weeks we finally have all cabinets and are ready to start putting them in. We have our cabinet guys here and they hang the 1st cabinet the top corner one, then the one to the left of it and that one is 6 inches shorter than the corner cabinet. So we stop and go through them. Everthing on the order paper is correct and correct size everything sitting in my house was not. Ordered : 36 inch sink base cabinet. Recieved : 30 inch sink base cabinet. Ordered : 30 inch top corner cabinet. Recieved : 36 inch top corner cabinet.
So after all of that and thousands of dollars later i still can not install my new kitchen from home depot.

I ordered on the 20th of June for delivery on July 9th. Fridge, washer and dryer. I have an infant and a toddler. So a fridge is SUPER important⌠boys gotta have milk.. if you know you know. Well anyways. Nothing showed up on the 9th. No one called. I had to call. Only to find out that the fridge didnât make It on the truck but supposedly the washer and dryer didnât but they couldnât âsplit the orderâ. But get this, 3 days later⌠ONLY the fridge shows up. After 2 35 min calls⌠they donât even âhaveâ the washer. So this is Friday the 11th of July⌠they tell me the soonest i can get the washer and dryer is July 18th. Finally the 18th (today is here) and I get both⌠the delivery guys never called for a heads up; so Iâm at my daughters 6 mo check up.. get a call and am told theyâll only wait 30 mins. So I reschedule the appt and head home. They quickly install, donât talk to me at all, donât show me anything - then leave without a peep. I go to look at the washer and dryer.. washer is horribly scrapped on the side.
I called Home Depot for support. They told me that theyâre going to compensate me for all my troubles. Originally the lady told me theyâd give me a 20% refund. Then her supervisor said that they cannot approve that so theyâre gonna give me 20% off of just the washer. Now keep in mind I couldnât have groceries. My groceries went bad . I had to cancel my daughterâs appointment. Missed two days of work. Extend my movers on the day of the ninth because they said they were on their way but they werenât. Havenât been able to do laundry in two weeks. Then they tell me theyâre only gonna refund me $150. Then I have to talk to the supervisor who refuses to talk to me. They say theyâre gonna transfer me to somebody else, but then they didnât. Then the lady told me that they were gonna refund me 20% off the entire order and then an additional 25% off the washer for it being messed up And then they changed it again to 10% off the fridge and dryer and 25% off the washer. And then it gets worse⌠They tell me I have to then go to the store to receive my refund because they canât process it back to my card for some unknown reason. This was an absolute nightmare.    Read morePoor poor poor customer service from âAlexâ We stopped by Home Depot to purchase some insect killer products for our garden everything was fine until we decided to go to self check out as soon as we started to sit our items down to scan Alex approached us grabbed the scanner and started scanning our items we never asked Alex for assistance in scanning our items. We asked Alex to please step away from the scanner due to not all items were being purchased together,Alex proceeded to smack his lips and say âhe was just trying to helpâ Alex then started walking back and forth around us laughing and giggling making us feel more uncomfortable we asked to speak with a manager (I donât know why) the manager comes and tell us Alex was doing his job assisting clients with scanning their items. Now before we approached the self check out there was 2 other people there scanning their items just fine Alex wasnât assisting them with anything in their cart. I truly believe Alex thought we were going to steal those items thatâs why he didnât ask us for assistance he just started scanning every item he seen even the items that were in our hand. I was so irritated and confused I walked out the store and realized my cellular device was not in my possession I reentered the store and found Alex, the manager and another employee laughing and sticking their tounge out acting as if this is not a business. If you choose to work in these type of settings sometimes itâs best to just let the customer shop and leave without antagonizing them and making fun of them. You guys clearly need to work on your Company Culture! It should ALWAYS be about the experience people have in your workplace and how that experience aligns with the external brand and messaging of the company.
