Went to this location this evening with my family for the first time. We were a large party and we had called WAY ahead to let them know we were coming. When we got there it took the waiter about 10 mins to even come by to get a drink order from us. We didn't say anything as it didn't bother us much. We get our drinks and order one appetizer. The blooming onion. Once we got that. Our waiter disappeared. We had mentioned we wanted to put kids orders in and he never came back after dropping our app. We saw him multiple times checking in with other tables. Which was a bit frustrating, we had to get his attention to even get our orders taken. And once we finally ordered we had already been done with our appetizer for about 15 mins. We ordered and then waited 45 mins for our meals to come out. I understand we are a large party. But there weren't many people in the restaurant. At one point I'm fed up and I go to find a manager. We at least would like the kids food to come out. We had 5 kids waiting on their food. At one point the waiter came out and said they didn't have enough broccoli prepped and they were subbing them for green beans on my daughters plate. It wasn't asking if this was okay. He just was telling me. Like um no. Do we have any other options?! Once the manager comes by she says we were just plating your food to serve on the trays. And I let her know this is unacceptable, at least bring kids meals out. I also brought up the green beans and she provided me with other options and I was able to make a change that suited my daughter better. My daughter's grilled cheese wasn't hot it was like warm. My ordered medium burger was well done. (when I brought this up to the manager, she did offer to remake. But we had waited this long already that I wasn't in the mood to wait anymore. - they did end up comping my meal) My uncle ordered the outback burger and he has literally a quarter sized drop of mustard in the middle of his bun. The rice on my husband and brother in laws plates were so salty it was disgusting.
With the service being subpar and the food just not good. The manager did offer us one free dessert. Which my nephew took to go.
It was sad that this was our first impression. I understand that our party was large, but its not like we showed up out of nowhere. We called ahead at 1:30 and let them know we were going to be coming at 5:30
I admire the manger but our waiter needs to check in on his tables more and be more attentive. Other waiters were filling our cups...

I have been a fan of Outback Steakhouse for quite some time, but unfortunately, my recent visit to the location on 99 and Kuykendahl left much to be desired. It's disheartening to recount an experience that fell short of the standard I've come to expect from this establishment.
From the moment my party and I were seated, it was evident that our waiter lacked enthusiasm for providing us with quality service. Our disappointment began with a simple starter – a single square bread served without plates. Despite repeated requests, we had to ask three times for plates, resulting in the bread turning cold by the time they were finally brought to us.
Regrettably, the issues didn't end there. Our main orders were incorrectly prepared when they arrived at our table. It was only after speaking with the manager, Chris, who informed us he was also the manager on duty, that our concerns were addressed. While he credited us for the error with the cheese fries, it was still frustrating to see such oversight in our orders. One of our party members ordered spicy wings but received mild instead. Also, after he came by you would think that service would have gotten better by the waiter.
Furthermore, the lack of attention to detail was glaring. Despite our repeated requests, additional bread was slow to arrive, and I found myself having to personally approach the staff to obtain our check and a takeaway box. Moreover, throughout our meal, no effort was made to clear the accumulating plates from our table, adding to the overall sense of neglect.
In an era where exceptional service should be a priority for businesses, it's disappointing to encounter such a subpar experience. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with dignity and respect, qualities that were sorely lacking during our visit. While I understand that the service industry has faced challenges, it's imperative that establishments uphold basic standards of customer care.
In conclusion, my recent visit to Outback Steakhouse on 99 and Kuykendahl was marred by poor service that fell far below expectations. It is my hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement, ensuring that future patrons do not encounter...
Read moreI recently had one of the worst dining experiences of my life here I’m honestly shocked that this place is still in business. From the moment I walked in, I had a bad feeling, and unfortunately, it only got worse. First, let’s talk about the cleanliness—or complete lack of it. There were visible bugs crawling on the walls, which should have been my first sign to leave. The tables were sticky, the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days, and the whole place had a musty, unpleasant smell. That alone made me uneasy, but I decided to give the food a chance. Big mistake. When my meal arrived, it was cold. Not “cooled down a little” cold—straight-up like it had been sitting out for who knows how long. On top of that, I found hair in my food. Not just one strand—multiple. That is beyond disgusting and shows a complete lack of basic hygiene in the kitchen. At that point, I should have just walked out, but I had already paid and was starving, so I tried to eat around it. Huge regret. Within an hour of eating, I started feeling nauseous, and by the time I got home, I was dealing with serious stomach issues. I don’t know what kind of standards (if any) they have in that kitchen, but I wouldn’t be surprised if their food handling is completely unsanitary. Service-wise, it wasn’t much better. The staff seemed uninterested, barely checked on the table, and when I mentioned the hair in my food, they didn’t even apologize—just took the plate back without a word and brought out another one that wasn’t much better. No compensation, no care for the customer’s experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE. It’s filthy, the food is terrible, and I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if people get sick from eating here. If you value your health and your money, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. This place needs to be shut down. 1/5 stars (and that’s only because I...
