This place is a staple in my childhood. My mom would always bring me to JCPenney's to take portraits every year. I remember my mom dragging me inside because watching my mom shop was so boring to me. I was a kid! Getting older as a teenager we would go to the mall to hang out. Then I started gaining some of my favorite shops. Like east meets west, spencer's, hollister, forever 21, bath & body works, Aeropostale, boscov's. And of course hot topic! When shopping online first came out, I was so against it. I thought it took away the experience of shopping and trying things on. Yes, I'm that old. I still like to shop in person but malls and stores are dying because of it. Many stores have already closed for good! The Ocean County Mall is one that is dying! I'm surprised they're still open but I love that they are! It brings back nostalgia and the stores that are inside of the mall,...
Read moreI love this mall, however I cannot get over how terrible the new play area is by the entrance for JC Penney. It used to be at a different end of the mall and it was awesome. The only problem was that there wasn't a little door you had to open to enter and exit the play area so my son would run out of the open door area from the pay place to the mall. They tore that down and rebuilt it by the JCP entrance and it is even worse! There is NOTHING to do there now, and it is totally open. I can never bring my two year old there now. It us almost completely open and he can run out into the mall and he did when I brought him there yesterday. What a shame. The old one had a pot of things to do. This one is bare. Just terrible. Terrible planning and not convenient at all and I just don't understand it. There is a dragon, a slide and some foam blocks abd thats it! So...
Read moreNice mall! We mostly go to Macys. Last weekend I needed to have my husband push me in a wheelchair thru Macys and the mall to do some shopping before a wedding. I was injured and has never needed a wheelchair before so I called the mall security office. Amanda answered the phone and was sooooo very helpful!!! She met my husband and gave him the wheelchair which we used with ease. Returning the wheelchair was easy. We called Amanda again and she met my husband. Gave him his license back which she safely held to secure the use of the wheel chair and home we went. The mall was not busy, easy to find, ample parking, the employees in the stores we visited were all friendly and helpful. It was a very nice experience all around. I would highly recommend this mall!! They have everything you need as far as shopping and dining. Even wheelchairs...
