Made on online order when they had spend 100 on toys get 25 dollars off. They had the Barbie townhouse on sale. Got that and a doll for my 5 year old daughter. Wound up getting the doll for free and 10 dollars off the doll house. I figured, nice deal! Unfortunately, my online order was just cancelled this morning. I call customer support and they start calling my nearest stores. They were all sold out and I live in Atlantic County. I call Toms River and an Angel named Dee answered. She said her PDA says they have them but she doesn't see them so she'll check in the back. I told her not to worry. No need to go searching. All the stores are sold out. I told her to have a good day and hung up. 30 minutes later I get a call from Dee saying she found the house and placed it on hold for me under my phone number. I didn't leave her my number. She took it upon herself to get my number from caller ID and find that house. I get there, purchase the house, but didn't get the free doll because they didn't have the kind of doll I ordered. I called the store and explained this to the manager Chris and he compensated me for my 5 year olds doll. This gift is huge for my daughter and I thank the Toms River target for a wonderful shopping experience during such a busy time. Dee and Chris are very hardworking and care about helping...
Read moreAfter the pandemic eased up, Target in Toms River continued going downhill. Never an issue with employees but the store never has stock. I like to place orders online and pick up and if I am ever lucky enough to find everything I need in stock, there’s a 90% chance I’ll be notified afterwards that there’s an item that’s now unavailable. Going to another store is always an option but not a great one unless I can’t get it shipped. My order placed one day ago, of course was missing two items after I entered it. I had less than a day to pick it up and went after work and dinner on day two. I waited 10 minutes in the lot and other cars were there for mobile pick up before me but not one person came out with orders, so I went in. After I got my items placed in my cart and counted them as I bagged them, I realized I was missing 8 items. Customers were calling about the length of time since they ordered and staff inside were complaining that they were far behind on fulfilling items. Again, the staff is always polite and probably take a lot of nonsense from customers. Prices are higher than ever, less help, less service and more issues. I hate to go to Walmart but it might soon be time. I’m sure I’m in for a horrible experience if I switch but I’ll have more $ in my wallet. Do...
Read moreFor the first time in my life, I was just profiled by 2 target employees at the toms river target. My husband and I have been looking at vacuums and they are on sale this week. We stopped in the maternity section to get out some clothes for myself and then headed to the vacuums. It took us a minute to look up reviews and decide on which vacuum but before we could decide a female security guard and tall bald target employee came to the vacuum isle "looking for something" they did not ask us if we needed help they just pretended to be looking for a vacuum. My husband and I decided on one and then proceeded to get myself a green drink and chocolate... These two employees followed us through the store a even to the check out and watched us leave. We have never felt so uncomfortable in a target. We were profiled as a young couple just because we are in our winter coats, face masks, and wearing baseball caps (mine said mama bear)... Might be a while before I go back to that target. Target on hooper ave in toms river needs to reevaluate how they address their customers if their is a...
