My mother and girlfriend wanted me to take them to the tomsriver olive garden on 3/3/25 and despite the last visit not being 100% ( they forgot alot including the toppings for our dessert we took to go) so I took them figuring maybe this time would be better ( it was my girlfriends birthday) now I didn't even mention that to our server (grace) I didn't mention it because she's shy and I know some restaurants sing. ( I mention this because at the end of this review you'll understand the frustration even more) so we order I absolutely love garlic so I ordered chicken margarita and asked for extra garlic now being an Italian restaurant never did I think it would come out loaded with jar minced garlic and rubbery . I subbed the grilled chicken for breaded. I sat there not eating after that first bite and my family said send it back. ( I never send anything back) but I did because we do spend alot of money and I was hungry. I tried to be easy saying I'll keep my broccoli just give me a piece of chicken with Alfredo drizzled over it and we'll call it even. The lady brought it out but her attitude changed for me asking. Then my girlfriend who at the beginning of the dinner ordered the pasta that you create and she was asking about the different sauces ( the waitress even brought her a spoonful of the mushroom sauce to try) now my girlfriend was thinking she was ordering the never ending pasta but her first bowl to be Alfredo and the waitress explained sense Alfredo wasn't on the list of create your own pastas she'd have to order the Alfredo dinner that was a few dollars more to get it. But after that could mix different pastas and sauces so she ordered it later when she went to order the mushroom pasta the waitress says you know your gonna have to pay for that right? Confused my girlfriend recalled their conversation earlier and then said nevermind because now she was a little annoyed that they went through that whole thing even trying a different sauce only to learn it was a misunderstanding apparently there was no never ending pasta that she thought she ordered. So now we're thinking how was this a misunderstanding when they littery spoke in the beginning about trying the dish were you can try different sauces but whatever we were about to order dessert and all of a sudden a female manager hostility walks up and said I hear there's problems over here! ( we never called for a manager) she was practically shaking with her arms crossed, spoke loudly and we felt embarrassed and angry that she came over and spoke to us like they didn't mess up but rather implied maybe we were trying to get something for free! That pissed me off that on her birthday she got treated this way so I asked the server why did she come over anyways ( I learned the server called her saying she could answer our questions) I had no questions so it was obvious the server was trying to make it out like we were the issue instead of her not explaining the menu correctly and her realizing from our conversation that she gave the wrong information ( maybe she thought we'd complain?) end result the whole situation bothered me so much I called that night to speak with a manager about everything and was offered a gift card but declined saying that was the point ( Noone wanted free food but I did want something done about that female manager) can't recall the name but he knew who the heavyset middleage female manager was working then. I even told him to look at cameras to see even how she approached with her body language.when he said he couldn't believe any manger there would do something like that.he told me he would look into it and return my call. He never did and now iam leaving the review. I will not be returning nor will any of my family or friends for the respect shown and hospitality given! If olive garden wants to reach out email me at contactmail4u2@gmail.com edit I was also charged almost $30 for the two tiny pieces of chicken with my broccoli as a full chicken alfredo meal that would have came with a big bowl of pasta I...
Read moreSince a review I left two years ago, things have really gone down hill. We realize that today is father's day, a very busy day. We accept things would be a bit slower, but our waitress, Deina, was the worst we have experienced ! Were seated and waited patiently for our server. After close to 10 minutes, she finally showed up to take our order. We gave her our drink order, and our food order all inclusive. Before we had even received our drinks, a table behind us, with 8 people, she was serving , who arrived at least minutes after us, she brought their drinks and appetizers ! Then two people sat down at a table to my back and they were served by a young man who took their order and within a few minutes returned with their drinks, bread sticks, and salad. We still didn't have our drinks! They received their food and the waiter asked if he could get them anything else. He then serviced two other tables, while we still waited or our food. Soup (me) salad (wife),finally arrived! The other waiter, cleared two other tables and we observed his hustle, our waitress was MIA! OK now the food, my wife said her seafood fettuccine was good, (she rarely complains!) Mine (stuffed chicken marsala ) on the other hand, was two pieces of over cooked chicken slices with some stuffing slapped between them, barely any marsala sauce on it. The potatoes ( I think was potatoes) were the best part and had already started to get cold. I would have complained to our waitress but again she was MIA! I couldn't very well complain to our waitress because at that point we just wanted to leave. We spent a total of $100, with a take home desserts, and tip, which I can't believe my wife gave. As a result I don't think we will visit olive garden anytime in the near future. To think we used to drive over 50 miles to go to an olive garden in upstate New York, to enjoy a great meal and great service! Not...
