This is in regards to their business practices not their products. I do believe they have great cheeses but I have had nothing but awful experiences with the owner every time I have tried to support their business. The first example happened at their food truck. I bought $70.00 worth of cheese and the owner Stacey (who was ringing me up) charged me $700.00. A very easy mistake to make adding an extra zero, it happens. But that wasnāt the problem, it was how the rest of the transaction was handled. Instead of explaining the situation she handed off the ipad to her husband and told him to ādeal with thisā and walked away. The only reason I knew how much she charged me was because of the bank notification I got alerting me to the amount processed. I thought it was very alarming how dismissive and unapologetic she was. The second instance involved me ordering a charcuterie box. I used their website which instructs you to send an email and they will get back to you with product details. Two weeks went by and I never had a response. I called the store the third week on a Thursday and a nice employee took my order and confirmed Stacey would give me a call back later that afternoon with the rest of the details. Needless to say I didnāt hear back Thursday or Friday. Given that this week was right before the superbowl I was trying to be understanding and give them some leeway assuming they were very busy. But on the fourth week after the initial email, I still waited on Monday for a call back and you guessed it, it never came. Miraculously, Stacey finally called me on Tuesday, four days before my event. She confirmed my order and that it would be ready at the store at noon on Saturday. Saturday rolls around and I arrive at their store at the designated pick up time. The lovely store employee asked for my name and order details. She went to the back to grab my charcuterie box but comes back empty handed. There was no order for me. She asked again how I ordered the item and who I spoke with. I confirmed Stacey took my order over the phone since I never heard anything back on my email. She ended up calling Stacey and all Stacey could say was āshe forgotā about my order. Once again no apology, no trying to make it right, just āI forgotā. Thank goodness for the store employee who was very helpful and did everything in her power to give me some quick made cheese plates. I was throwing a party that night and wanted a charcuterie box that was a little more elevated and came with more items but given the current situation I was thankful to get some kind of basic cheese platter. After these two experiences I donāt understand how Stacey maintains a business and is in customer service. She seems to have no regard for getting customers and keeping them. Again this review is not against their products, they have amazing cheeses but I will no longer support...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently shopped in the store on the recommendation of a sweet, 11 year old. Quickly I became a fan when I got into a conversation with a couple of the sweetest ladies who work there. As a person on a restricted diet, I wasn't sure there was much for me there. I was partially correct, but what I COULD have they were able to steer me toward and they made great recommendations for things I didn't know I could love so much. I left happy and content that I would be returning more often! The items they pointed me toward were outstanding and delicious. š I'm also excited they can custom make baskets of deliciousness filled with, not only delicious cheeses, but other wonders from local vendors! If anyone wants to have them do that for me, I'll forward my wishlist to them! š Support local! I hear fun stuff is in the works for the near future so make sure...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen hyper local is done right you just probably visited this place! You used to only be able to catch at the local farmer's market and select events. Now at their new brick and mortar location you find the delicious cheese plus so much more! They sell all kinds of food from suppliers across Kansas and Topeka. Can't decide on just one item for a gift? You can make a gift basket right there of items you choose. But what brought us all there is the promise of Stumpys cheese. I dont know who Stumpy is, but I have decided they must be a delightful person based on the quality and variety of cheese offered. There was plenty of staff on hand that day able to answer most questions. Warning..parking is NOT ideal, be prepared to circle back on a potentially busy day. Samples galore. There was a pot of hot local coffee and hot chocolate as well. I...
