That Other Place — Local services in Topeka

Have been twice, first time no issue. Today went to look for picture frames and didn’t have what I wanted so just browsed around. Both my bf and I willingly showed our ID’s after being asked then your employee just stands there silently behind us staring while we look around the glass section, do we need to hand our purses over or something to be deemed as not sketchy?? Having your employees act as if every person in there is out to be a thief isn’t a good way to have repeat customers because we definitely won’t be back.

**Edit to add since I can’t reply to the owner, the employee never asked if we needed any help finding anything or looking for anything in particular. Just stood there staring without a word or even a friendly expression on his face. If he would have asked we could’ve said we’re just browsing, but it definitely didn’t seem like we were welcome to do that which is weird considering how else are you going to buy anything without looking. I get it’s sketchy as hell in Topeka especially...

BUYERS BEWARE I have been shopping here since they opened the doors. I have never had issues with items purchased always enjoyed the randomness of items to look at and purchase. Unfortunately I bought something that was packaged and lit up the small magnet lights did not work batteries corroded. Took back to exchange had none left so I just wanted the 3.55 store credit. Could not find receipt was told without it couldn't help after being there twice still haven't had a chance to see the owner after was told they would be there on previous trip. So I will no longer spend nor solicit others to go to a store that has no responsibility in what they sell and wont back it up would rather loose a loyal customer over $3.55. Frustrated and disgusted No longer a Customer of that other place will go to Charlie's and Mr Thrifty...

Hey guys don't want to be a downer the selections are great for cheap knock of glass quiet over priced alos have spent well over a couple grand here along with my last purchase I live an hour away got home un wrapped it to find broken and cracked product drove back to replace knowing I bought the last one I planed to upgrade just wanted to swap out and pay the difference but was told they won't take care of it or replace it while smiling says you have to contact the manufacturer she's not responsible mind you I'm talking to the owner I would say nice store bad ethics and business practices wish I could say different iv sent alot of people that way guess I'm just disappointed after 4+ years of loyalty not cool and won't be back kinda sad to...
