I wanted to give this restaurant 1-star but, the last time we ordered it, it was excellent. There’s no decent Mexican in the area - I’m looking at you Dos Amigos - and, when this place popped up on DoorDash a few weeks ago I was excited to try and see if there are any decent tacos in the Trump supporting bubble that, I’m sure, doesn’t appreciate Mexican lives as much as they do Mexican food and culture. Anyhow, I digress; the steak was hard as a rock, the chips were so stale I am wondering if they had been sitting out since the last time they appeared on Doordash weeks before, the tortillas were also stale and hard, and the avocado, that I paid extra for, was brown. Honestly this meal was horrible. We ordered for 3 people and all of us were very disappointed with the quality of the food. The only redeeming thing was that the guacamole was fresh, and delicious. I do not know, maybe they haven’t restocked because of Covid-19, but there’s no excuse for this quality of a meal for what we paid. I’m not sure why they only pop up on DoorDash every few weeks, but this experience was the polar opposite to our first one. It’s Friday night, step...
Read moreIt was a Monday and I had an hour to kill waiting for prescriptions at Walgreens. After I sat down in the dining room I sat for a while until the waitress came and explained that i couldn't get enchiladas unless i ordered them all the same. Either chicken, steak or cheese. Finally I agreed to steak enchiladas with some cheese on top.I also had to get up to ask for some chips and sauce. The chips were good but the sauces, green and red were rather dull.At last this culinary delight landed on my table. The enchiladas were stuffed with the most repulsive meat I have ever seen. Unfit for a dog. There was a side of cold rice and warm beans that had very little flavor.I had a small bottle of seltzer that they couldn't ruin and the bill came to $18.50. I put a twenty on the counter and told the cook that his food sucks. This place made M"Cdonalds seem like a five star dining experience.WORST DINING...
Read moreWhen we discovered that our normal hole in the wall was closed for the holiday, we decided to return to another little hole-in-the-wall. Boy was I glad we did. it's a great menu with all the favorites and then some. I'll be honest the rice and beans need a little salt , but the pernil (roast pork)was absolutely delicious. Tender and juicy with the most amazing crispy pork fat this dish was definitely a winner! My companion's tamale was the biggest example of its kind that I'd ever seen It smelled delicious and tasted better than it smelled. The decor is nothing fancy, the service casual but the prices are reasonable and the portions were more than either one of us could eat in a sitting. Will...
