Ocean State Job Lot — Local services in Torrington

When going to any establishment, the first impression is everything and it usually starts with customer service. I have to applaud Ms. Amanda for her absolute genuine kindness and love to all the customers who come in. She is so friendly and it is so inviting and welcoming. Who doesn't want to start their shopping trip with a warm hello and beautiful bright smile! Amanda is truly amazing and makes my day when I see her. I've even seen her works on holidays and she is always so happy to be there and help out others. It's very hard to find workers who genuinely love their job and do what they can to make each customer happy! Amanda is truly inspiring. Girlfriend is in need of a raise! I've been met with other works there who all seem pleasant but Amanda truly goes out of her way. So, I thought I'd go out of mine to just share my experience with her! I'd do all I can as a store manager to keep her. Amanda is as amazing as they come! She is a top notch, high quality worker!

This store is always clean and...

the staff was nice enough but when I went there there was a policeman at the door taking the names and numbers of people that weren't wearing masks in the store. Seeing as they didn't put that mandatory obligation or enforce the importance of wearing the mask before,I just find it a little extra and intrusive of the company to put a police patrol at the exit door not the entrance. And that those police felt that they had a right to take citizens names and numbers, for simply not wearing a mask. As I mentioned earlier, it wasn't a requirement for coming in the store but yet it was a big deal walking out.I wasn't happy about it and I don't think I'll be returning to that store until this...

They are doing some sort of construction in their backroom storage area. You can see the plastic draped from the ceiling across the entire store and there was this unpleasant chemical scent almost like paint, but entirely stronger. Completely unacceptable to shop in & had to leave after just a few minutes.

In all seriousness- Avoid this store until they finish if you have breathing issues/sensitivity to low air quality...
