Makoto Japan Market — Local services in Town of Amherst

I was really surprised by the selection here. There are a number of asian markets in Buffalo, but none of them specialize in Japanese goods especially, which is kind of a bummer. Makoto has a lot of hard-to-find stuff from Japan, which is very refreshing. The selection is good, a lot of skincare, hair care products which I would usually have to take to Amazon or online import shops for. A great variety of frozen foods, seasonings and sauces as well.

Some accessories, figurines and toys from popular brands too. If you have a relative who's into Sanrio, Demon Slayer, or Pokemon, bring them here, and they'll likely have a good time.

They're still in the process of stocking up more goods, so I hope they continue to expand their inventory with less common foods, ingredients, and products - if they do, I won't have to cross the Canadian border to get good Japanese food and ingredients anymore. What a dream that would be!

I was driving down Sheridan earlier today on the way back from an errand and just happened to spot this place. After finishing my tasks and getting back home by the Falls, I turned right around and went back to check it out and it was worth the trip. Lots of anime merch, beauty products, some personal care and kitchen/bathroom supplies, and lots of snacks and drinks. Super huge bonus for me: packages of gluten free vegetarian ramen. And it's delicious. I about died.

While I couldn't eat most of the snacks because of my food intolerances, there were so many little cakes and ice cream sandwiches that looked soooo good.

I went into this store a couple a weeks ago to buy my granddaughter a Labubu because my 26 y/o daughter had one & she really liked it. To my surprise they actually had them in stock. So me & my 26y/o daughter went back again today to get me one. Well they didn’t have the Macaron ones in stock at the time, but the suggested that I try the Biginto Energy one, do I did. My daughter kept saying “watch her get the secret because she Durant know anything about them”. To my surprise, I got it! The workers in the store were just as excited as I was.
