It was the worst experience ever I had among all other restaurants I been in buffalo New York . Server put on a poker face, rushing us to order a drink within 2 mins we be sat down . When we are ordering the good , me and my friend were wondering is there a way to custom made of our food , the serve rejected our request right the way without asking their kitchen, he was rushing us to order the food without taking time to explain the food ingredients. after our main dishes were served we were wondering when will our fried rice will be serve , the server said " I got no idea it depend on the chief , it's not on me." Then i said ok give me a bowl of rice, and he did bring me a bowl of rice which contains some black substance , I just pick the black matter out and ignore them . We order a fish soup dish , they don't even bring us the bowl to use, so we ask for them , the same server bring us the bowl by carry it on top other then they should follow the regulations by the bottom . At the end the boss lady is totally lock of any customer service training, we were asking is there any different to pay by card or cash , she rudely replied no , and I am paying with my card , she threw the receipt , pen and my card back to me loudly , and my bill was 83 dollars , I am really to pay the tips by cash I had a five dollar bill and all twenty dollars bill , I gave her a twenty and ask her nicely to break it , she smash two ten dollars bill on the counter , I give her one of the ten dollar bill to break it into singles she is really mad and loudly said" I don't have it!!" The restaurant is clean, bright, beautifully decorated, and there are all sorts of different seating options to choose from. Plenty of room for a banquet or large party, wedding rehearsal dinner, and so on. Family restaurant, warm welcome, service and food were perfect.
Do yourself a solid and order a pot of hot tea. They use whole green tea leaves and the pot stays hot through the entire meal.
Full menu of American Chinese food and traditional Chinese food, including plenty of dim sum dishes. I didn't see what I wanted on the menu but I showed them a picture. They not only made it for me, they taught me the name of the dish so I can ask for it next time! (鲜蔬菜豆腐汤 xiān shūcài dòufu tāng, fresh vegetables and tofu soup)
The noodles were perfect consistency, spicy, and every dish is enough for two. I've had a lot of great Chinese home cooking and this place topped them all by miles!
I can't wait to go back. Did I mention it...
Read moreI cannot express enough how AMAZING this place is!! Truly an absolute gem of authentic Shanghai cuisine (as shown by the fact that I was brought here first by Chinese international students who were staying with my family).
The whole time we were eating, myself and my parents could not stop raving about how flavorful and enjoyable everything was. I had the vegetable buns and the mapo tofu and this mapo tofu has to have been my favorite I’ve ever had. Every dish was also STUNNING and presented beautifully with such care.
It’s a bit on the pricy side, but the portions are huge and everything is so good, I think it is still reasonable. It’s also family run and I would rather give my money to a family-run business like this one. The family who runs it were so nice and clearly passionate about their craft.
All this to say, you NEED to go here!! Disregard the reviews about “customer service” from people who don’t have empathy for ESL speakers or for cultural differences and go enjoy some delicious food in...
