*been back twice now, both times buffet was full fresh and very good. Service was very friendly. Glad to see its turning back around!

Not sure what has happened here but latly the buffet has been pretty badly picked over and not fresh. Often there is little food out with empty or close to empty trays or dishes where there was no meat left in it...has happened many times all dif days and hours. I really loved this place, food was good when they had it it but the buffet is too unreliable latley and foid quality has gone down a little too. Sadly we usually end up not staying as it dosnt look kept up, nothing looks at all fresh and often several of the treys are empty or close to empty. After several times of it being picked over or empty and waiting only for it to never be refilled while we were there we learned to check to see if there is food first. My last 3 attempts to eat here I saw how sparse the food choices looked and had to go elsewhere. Was probably my last time trying as it seems to be the regular thing now so why bother. This has occurred numerous times over the last few months. Not sure whats going on or what has happened but its sad and disapointing as I used to enjoy going regularly. I really hope things go back to when it was good there! It used to be fantastic, but I cant see paying $15 for a buffet that isnt being kept fresh or filled.

Tried it one last time today at 11:20 thinking if they open at 11 there would defenatly be food out. Even less then 20 min after opening (we also seemed to be their first custumers of the day) it was the same half filled buffet. 2 treys were completly empty as if nothing had been put in them yet, and there were only two small peices of tandori. We were told dont leave it was all coming out in a couple of minutes. 15 min later one of the two emptys got filled (a rice dish with a couple peices of chicken in it). We asked when the others would come out as there were really no meat dishs out and again were told from someone in the kitchen it would be very soon, couple minutes. We sat watching the people in the kitchen standing around eatting, drinking coffee and talking for another half hour during which we again asked two more times if food was coming soon as we had been assured at arival. Finnaly they almost begrudgingly brought out a small portion that they heated up for us after 45minutes (no exaggeration, it was now past noon and we came in just before 11:20am.) By this point the two peices of tandori had been taken well before with no sign of anyone careing to replace it. They were kind of rude, disrespectful and deceptive to promise it would soon be brought out and then make us wait over 45minutes as they stood around snacking and laughing in back not careing one bit knowing that the buffet was not filled and custumers had been waiting. This made it clear to me that they really dont even give a * about their custumers. From the food we did get it was not good at all. This place used to be so great, for over 2 years I was going a couple times a month but in the last 6 months or so something has changed and its been all down hill. This has gone from a favorite place to eat and take friends to and now it is by far one of the worst and most unwelcoming dineing exsperiences I have ever had. After years of loving it I held out hope and have tried so many times to stay a loyal custumer and to give it another chance and regretted it every time....never again now. Im truely sad as I cant exspress how much I really used to love going for the...

There is no less eating than this.

I visited this restaurant today during my trip to Niagara Falls and I had most TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ever. The food was ofcours awful but the manager's behavior was even worse than anything. I usually don't write much reviews but I decided to write for this one because of my worst personal experience which others can avoid. I with my wife and a 2 year old were starving and reached to this restaurant around 7.30 pm on Friday May 27th 2016. The restaurant looked great and nice at first glance. Restaurant is actually a part of their Indian market. We chose to have dinner buffet as I saw a lot of options available. The quality of the food was so poor that I ended up with leaving everything. Only raita, jeera rice, papad and naan were OK. The Paneer makhni and Daal makhni were not even close. Paneer makhni was so sweet that it was made in the sugar cyrup. Dal makhni was looking an ordinary Dal with an awful taste. Only bhindi masala was somehow I could eat. Well, when I was asked, did you like everything? I genuinely said that I never tasted such sweet Paneer makhni which is worst taste I ever had. And Dal makhni, my wife cooks much better than this professional chef of this restaurant. The waitress said, if I like, I could talk to manager. I asked her, if anyone complaint about Paneer makhni she said a couple of people may have said about sweetness but I can talk to manager if I like. When the manger came, I explained him that food is awful and Paneer makhni is the worst of all I ever tasted with so much sweet. Well, after few arguments, I accidentally said that some other people had also complaint about sweetness to your waitress. He called that waitress and asked, did you say to him that other people had complaint? Ofcourse she said no as she had to save her job. Then manager said that I m lieing. What should I say? I completely understand the fear of a newly joined waitress who was really good at her work, polite and also a student who need to support herself and not responsible of that awful food for which I complaint to her. Anyways, we came to an agreement to prepare a dish of Kadhai Paneer for me which I took to my hotel.

To me, they modified taste for non-Indian people as their business is run by those at most which he told me several times. It is actually a shame for the chef to cook such worst food. Manager told me that this chef is the best chef in town and is from PAKISTAN. So my advice for the Indian fellows or to others who want to have real and good Indian taste, avoid this place at any cost. I just pray that he wouldn't have done anything wrong to that innocent girl by blaming her for everything. I couldn't stop myself thinking about her all the night with the feeling of guilt that she could be in trouble just because of my stupidity.

I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR A GOOD FOOD. YOU COULD BE IN PLACE OF ME AS WELL. THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER BETTER PLACES TO HAVE GOOD INDIAN FOOD. THIS PLACE ISN'T VERY CHEAP EITHER.

TO OWNER/CHEF, COOK YOUR FOOD THAT GOOD RATHER THAN PRESSURISING YOUR TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES SO THAT PEOPLE HAVE NO COMPLAINTS AND COME TO YOU ALWAYS. AFTER ALL YOU ARE A CHEF AND YOU SHOULD NOT...

EDIT: was out of the area for a bit and went to order a few months ago and was told they’ll be starting dining service “next week” after stopping for some time. Just ordered tonight. As delicious and reasonable as I remember!!!

Unassuming location for a fantastic grocer/restaurant/takeout. They also serve refrigerated containers of their entrees in a cooler as well as a stellar bakery. There are quite a few Indian restaurants in the area to choose from but the convenience of having such a well stocked grocer as well as the friendliness of staff really makes this on of the top.

I'm still trying things from their menu and intent on branching out but am in love with their paneer chutney pakora, the mint paste sandwiched in between really makes it stand out compared to other places just battering paneer cubes without the mint. The portion is also extremely generous.

Next time I'll include photos but I couldn't wait and had to dig in so I didn't make things look...

Stopped in to try their dinner buffet. The price was great and what l loved is that I get to try a bunch of different things that maybe I wouldn't try. The texture of the naan was just to my liking. The paneer, daal, and chicken dishes I had were very good. The mango lassi was not too bad, maybe a little less blending and more mango and it would be perfect! The dessert was great, soan papdi and the semolina dessert were my favorite! The masala chai lacked spice but it was still a good end to the meal. The service was great, I was welcomed and greeted right away. I was surprised that no one else was there so l was the ambiance. Overall, I will be coming back!

We really enjoy getting lunch buffet from Spices when we're in the Williamsville/East Amherst area. The buffet food is prepared on the milder side in terms of spiciness. Although regular naan is included with your meal, we always upgrade to garlic naan for a slight surcharge. The best part of visiting Spices is the ability to pick up items from the connected market after the meal. Service is friendly for both the restaurant and the market. Spices is located in a large strip mall, so parking is not an issue.

I had a buffet here on a Saturday afternoon and really liked it. Unlike other Indian restaurant buffet, they included some street food like panipuri (which was amazing). Other interesting dishes include dosa, sambar, chicken biryani etc. Rest of the dishes are common and usually served at other places too. I would definitely visit this place for a change. The restaurant is inside a super bazaar which is handy for people who want to shop and eat.
