Review of Our Visit to Glen Falls, Buffalo on 29th March 2025. Our family visit to Glen Falls in Buffalo was a delightful escape into nature, tucked away in the heart of the city’s Williamsville area. This hidden gem, officially known as Glen Park, offered a serene and picturesque experience that left a lasting impression. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the waterfall itself. Glen Falls, with its 30-foot cascade over limestone cliffs, was a stunning sight, especially with the gentle mist rising from Ellicott Creek below. The surrounding park was lush and well-maintained, with vibrant greenery and scenic trails that made for a relaxing stroll. The sound of the water crashing against the rocks created a peaceful ambiance, perfect for unwinding or simply soaking in the beauty of the moment. We explored the short but charming trail system, which was easy to navigate and offered great views of the falls from different angles. The park’s small size made it feel intimate, and we appreciated the clean, family-friendly environment. There were a few picnic tables and benches, which would be ideal for a packed lunch or a quiet moment to reflect. The historic stone bridge nearby added a touch of old-world charm, making it a great spot for photos. One minor downside was the limited parking, which could be tricky during peak times. Also, while the falls were impressive, they’re not as grand as some larger waterfalls, so those expecting a Niagara-like experience might need to adjust expectations. Still, for a quick nature fix within the city, it was perfect. Overall, Glen Falls was a refreshing and accessible retreat. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Buffalo, it’s worth a visit for a dose of tranquility and natural beauty. We’d definitely return for another peaceful visit during our...

The falls is beautiful, lots of places to sit and quietly read, explore or just relax around the whole park. The trails are to steep for roller blades unless your an experienced rider. There's big fish in the water by the bridge. We walked over the bridge and found this creek where people were fishing and just walking trails. It was a nice place to explore for people looking for a nice short walk because it's not a big park like Niagara Falls and its quite, not a bunch of kids or noisey activities. It's very manageable. Parking on both sides, but it is hard to find parking on the Main Street side. Maybe grab an ice cream at the shack I saw off main street and then walk the park. There's also a hammock in the middle part of the park for people to enjoy but I'm sure you'd have to get there early or wait your turn. The sign says NO DOGS ALLOWED but I did see people walking their dog. Me and my boyfriend had...

This park is right in the middle of Williamsville, and follows the channel of Ellicott Creek across the Niagara Escarpment. While some might complain about the man-made creek walls near Main Street, it's important to recognize the historic importance of the water power of the creek for 19th century industry in this area. The falls, right at the edge of the escarpment, are the highlight of the park, but looking at the lower section of the park, there's a pond and some relaxing glades, with plenty of shade trees and a good number of benches to sit on.

Just a note for those with mobility issues: While there is a ramp to get from the upper to lower creek areas, I think it's far steeper than an ADA ramp. There's a nice parking area off of Glen Ave for the lower park, and parking behind the library (across Main Street) for the upper area if you know you will want to be in one area...
