During our recent trip back from Niagara, we stumbled upon a delightful gem of a restaurant that truly made our day - Sun Cuisines. Led by the talented Master Sushi Chef Kevin Lin and his wife Stephanie, this Asian cuisine haven surpassed all our expectations in every way. The first thing that struck us was the beautiful interior. The decor is a perfect blend of modern elegance and traditional Asian aesthetics, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance alone set the stage for what would be an unforgettable dining experience. The food at Sun Cuisines was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and meticulously presented. Our favorites included the Mango Chicken, which had a perfect balance of sweet and savory, with tender chicken pieces enveloped in a luscious mango sauce. The Thai Basil Fried Rice was another highlight, featuring fragrant rice stir-fried to perfection with fresh basil and an array of vibrant vegetables. And the Pad Kee Mao, with its bold and spicy flavors, was a true delight for the taste buds. Not only was the food exquisite, but the portions were also generous, providing excellent value for money. We left feeling completely satisfied, both in terms of taste and quantity. The service at Sun Cuisines was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making sure that every aspect of our meal was perfect. Overall, Sun Cuisines is a must-visit for anyone seeking top-notch Asian cuisine. Chef Kevin Lin and Stephanie have created a culinary oasis that delights the senses and leaves a lasting impression. We can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings!

Very cute little place, definitely love the decor inside. Service was a bit slow, even though we arrived at a quiet time of the day. My friend eating with me absolutely LOVED her entree. She got the crispy salmon skin salad and although we were confused about it at first (chunks of cream cheese in it??), she ended up raving about how good it was. Mine on the other hand was okay. I got the Pad See U, which is a flat rice noodle dish with veggies and a sweet soy sauce. I really enjoyed the sauce and vegetables, but the noodles left something to be desired. To be fair, I've never had rice noodles before, so it could be just how they are normally, but I thought these were a bit too overdone. And I wish that the dish came with more vegetables, it was mostly just noodles. Overall I enjoyed lunch, I would maybe come back someday to try something new.

Sharing the details of our first visit. The restaurant seemed busy, there were unbussed tables all around us, took a while for the waiter to actually take our order, then more of a wait for the food, appetizers were served one by one rather than both of them brought out at the same time. The unbussed dishes were collecting on a counter behind us and it was unappetizing to look at. The food however was delicious and we will probably come back but we will work on timing so that we don't have such an extended wait. Investing in some more waitstaff and bussers would really make this a five-star restaurant. As the food quality was fantastic!

Dining in, the service is impeccable; the waiter comes at the right moments to check in on you to ensure that your meal is satisfactory while also being very knowledgeable about the menu and being able to thoroughly describe the various types of menu items. He delivers your food in an amicable manner, and the presentation of the dishes are very pleasing. You can tell that the chefs take great pride in the quality of the dishes that they prepare. The dining area is very well designed and decorated; it makes you feel like you are dining in a dress code establishment, without all the rules to be so.

This is the first time I went to a Burmese restaurant, so we were wondering if the food would suit our palates. I'm happy to say we loved everything. The place was almost empty when we went, so the service was pretty quick though there was only 1 guy around. We had the vegetarian version of Tom Yum soup, dumplings, spring rolls, the Burmese flat noodles - the spring rolls were a little oily, but everything was very tasty. We also had the Mango rolls and the Garden avocado roll - though they come wrapped in a mango wrap, they aren't very sweet and they were delicious. Would recommend 💯

Sun Cuisines is one of the best Asian restaurants in Buffalo serving delicious Thai and Burmese fare along with innovative cocktails. I have been here twice with close friends and each one of us appreciated the food and quality of service on both occasions. I highly recommend the Black Rice sushi combos, Pad Ga Pow and Coconut shrimps. I am not sure if the cocktail menu keeps changing but I personally liked the whiskey-based 'Son of a Gun' pictured in this review. If you are in Buffalo and out for a date night or dinner with friends, I highly recommend heading out to Sun Cuisines.
