Watson's Chocolates — Local services in Town of Amherst

I was the only customer in the store, and waited there with my three year old until the worker was done restocking. There's no reason restocking could not have waited. I was willing to overlook that, however.

One of the items I purchased was a chocolate heart with my daughter's name on it. The box was tied closed, so I didn't see the heart until my daughter opened it on Valentine's Day. It looks like a child wrote her name on it. For the cost, the workers should be trained on how to write legibly with icing, or ask someone else to do it. When I called and explained that the name was written terribly, I was firmly told "just come in and we'll re-do it for you." This was a statement, not a choice. I was not about to make a 45 minute round-trip during a snow storm, on Valentine's Day, to have it replaced. My mother worked in the factory about 30 years ago ( she was probably in her late 70s or early 80s). She worked at Fowler when it was family owned and operated for about 30 years so she had a lot of experience. If the candy wasn’t made with quality ingredients she didn’t consider the company worthy of working for. Their candy has always been high quality and just as delicious now as it was all those years ago. It’s my go to chocolatier. The staff is amazing.
