Worst dining experience in over 5 years & we will not be going back to a Recovery Room for a meal again. Upon arrival there were approximately 10 guests waiting to be seated. The hostess told us that the wait would be 30-45 minutes.
We noticed that the dining room was only partially filled with plenty of tables to accomodate our party of 5. In addition, there were several tables for 4 which had only 2 guests seated and most were done dining with leftover boxes on the table. Instead, the staff seemed to just ignore waiting guests.
We watched as 2 very large parties (8+ adults/children) left the restaurant approximately 10 minutes after we arrived. Several other smaller parties also exited and the restaurant tables were less than 1/3 full but the hostess never bothered to seat any of the waiting guests for another 10-15 minutes. The takeout business was busy so our assumption is that takeout is more important to this "restaurant" than serving guests who make an effort to visit in person. HOWEVER, given the lack of service from the staff I can certainly see why takeout is preferred.
About 30 minutes into our wait, a VERY irate couple came out of the dining room & loudly said to all guests waiting to "just leave and go somewhere else". He stated they had been seated for over an hour and had a waitress bring them a drink order and never return to take a food order.
Immediately after that, the hostess reappeared to tell everyone waiting that we would be seated shortly. But despite telling her 3 times when we entered the number in our party, she assumed we were a group of 4 (INCORRECT: we were a group of 5) so more wait because she didn't have a table....which was odd since we could CLEARLY see about 5 vacant tables that could accomodate a party of 5.
The server came over shortly after we were seated & took our drinks order then when delivering drinks she took our food order. Food came out for 4 of us quickly but the 5th meal the server got completely wrong: The order was a Chicken Tenders DINNER and she delivered just the chicken tenders on a plate, nothing else. Another server came to the table with a separate order of fries and asked who ordered. We explained that what should have been an entree wasn't. He left the fries. All our food was room temperature. Fries were like glue, tacos were cold, chicken tenders overfried and tough but room temp. Waitres never appeared to ask if the food was ok or if we wanted more beverages - we would have ordered another round of drinks so the restaurant lost $50 in sales by a waitress not coming around.
Finally the waitress delivered our bill without asking if we wanted a dessert - which according to the advertising if we bought 2 entrees there should have been a free dessert and we each had intended to order a dessert. NOPE - another lost $$ opportunity for this place. They even had an error on the bill because they charged for the $16 chicken tender dinner price PLUS $6 for side fries. The waitress had vanished and there were no other servers in sight after about 10 minutes so we decided to cut our losses, tossed cash on the table to cover the price of the meal and a meager tip.
We admit we left a 10% tip and even that was way too much given the horrible...
Read moreThis place treats their employees like crap. I was just in for wing night and had an amazing waitress, she was putting up with my friends acting rowdy and a little out of control, brought us every drink we asked for, was doing exactly what she gets paid to do, great customer service. In the middle of our dinner her manager Johnny comes to the table and confronts her in front of us all pointing out that she's too busy talking to a table while another girl is on her own waiting on her own tables. I felt so terrible for the waitress that had been taking such good care of us that I mentioned I was going to write a review about this and the manager came back to the table like he was about to start an argument. When I asked if he had something to say to me he said "no not particularly." So I left. He came back looking for an argument. This is the last chance recovery is getting from me. Had problems before but after this I'm done. So disgusted the way an employee was actually treated in front of customers. Then the manager tried to embarrass me as well by telling my friends he was "taking my bill for my drink to my job" little did he know my friend asked the waitress to put it on his bill, just the fact that this "man" is really trying to embarrass females the way he is, is exactly why I'll be taking this issue to corporate.
Terrible. Ordered buffalo chicken wontons to go and found a piece of metal from the fryer when i was eating them. I called the manager immediately and he assured me he would make it right and promised to send a gift card. I gave him my address and here it is over a month later and STILL no gift card. Can't say I'm the least bit suprised considering that was a "promise" coming from a person than manages a place that has metal in their buffalo chicken... wont ever be bringing my business here again, too bad, was going to have my sons birthday party there but after this never again will i step foot in this place nor will I ever eat their food again. I will also tell everyone I know in amsterdam about this incident and urge them all to go elsewhere, where they actually keep their word and care about their customers experience.......
Read moreUpdate - 8/18/2023: (Updating because Google asked me to.) Everything below still stands. I only marked the atmosphere as two stars because I know the place can be really loud at times. Not just the patrons, but the music in general. While I don't recall hearing it today, we were also there only for lunch - which might make a difference?
Our server tonight was Jaidyn. She was amazing. She was very cheerful and checked in on us just the right amount, not too much and not too little.
We had our toddler with us tonight and when he started to get crazy - as toddlers do - she immediately brought over some crayons and paper. While my toddler is never really interested in coloring while we are out, we found a way to keep him entertained by rolling the crayons around the table. Again, thank you!
The nachos were great and I was very happy to see the layers of chips and toppings, something that is usually missed in other places. Other places have chips on the bottom and all the toppings on top; once you are done with that first layer, it's all chips.
Three adults' meals were pretty good as well. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich; whoever thought to put coleslaw on a sandwich should get a raise in my opinion. Or, if it's a thing in Nashville I need to visit some time. My wife got the Smokehouse Chicken sandwich. She had no complaints.
The toddler's meal, however, was subpar. The tenders were very dry and lacked flavor. They ate it, but not all of it. We did not bother to complain because: (1) we're not that people. It was food and that made it good enough for them. (2) It really wasn't a huge deal. It's a toddler, they eat anything and everything they get their hands on.
Overall I am very pleased with tonight. Now if only the toddler will cooperate for bedtime.
It's okay, I laughed as well. They always need a drink, use the bathroom, one more book,...
