My husband went to this store today Att on Montauk hwy in lindenhurst. 1st he spoke with Rosa who works there he said his phone isn't charging anymore what are his options. She said well you can get an upgrade and get a phone today. I usually Handle all of our stuff with the phones. So he was unaware that we had insurance. She Very Conveniently DIDNT tell him that you have insurance. And you have 2 options. One the option could be to Upgrade, or you could file a claim with your insurance. Instead, she proceeded to take the insurance off of two of our phones to offset the cost of what his new phone was gonna be. Scammed all to get the commission Very dishonest people! Then when he called me and told me what he was going to do And get a new phone I told him No, don't do that. We have insurance. We can just file a claim and get a new phone through the insurance. He Told them he wasn't going to take the phone because he was gonna go through insurance and They then charged him a restocking fee for the phone that never even left the store! At this point I went there And was dealing with the manager Rafael. Who was just as useless an She was. He wouldn't give me his full name. He wouldn't give me his I d number. He was trying to tell me. I had to pay the restocking fee In cash. Until I called my attorney and had her meet me there with the police. Rosa the worker was also taking pictures of my minor son! The employee there told me that I was eligible for an upgrade and could get a phone today. Hearing You can get a phone today when your phone is not working sounds great. However, she conveniently didn't tell me that I have insurance on the phone and could put in a claim instead of buying a new phone. (like I said my wife usually handles this stuff). When I spoke to my wife, she told me not to do that. Because we had insurance. I told them I no longer wanted The phone, all while I was still in the store The whole time and then they wanted to charge me a restocking fee. They only wanted me to pay the restocking fee in cash. I was immediately brushed off and dismissed upon entering the store, when all I came in to do was upgrade/activate my S23 phone. She immediately sent me next door to Asurion for them to help activate my phone. I went into that store and NOBODY was there!! AT&T please train your employees on customer service. Hire ppl who can actually DO THE JOB and are not RUDE!!! I just wasted money to come to the store and was treated poorly and rudely. I've been an AT&T customer for over 6 years. The previous rep from this store (an older indian man) was extremely helpful! But clearly, when he left so did the excellent customer service. Also, there is NO variety of phone cases for the S23 or S21. There is only 1 case. That's ridiculous, especially for a phone that was newly released not even a week ago. Please do better or close this location!!! Absolutely terrible service and a complete waste...
