The event was okay but I expected a lot more from the famous food festival! There were several things wrong with this event. I purchased VIP tickets for me and my sisters but it didn’t feel like we received a VIP package after entering the festival.
Firstly, entering the festival was unorganized and chaotic! There was no clear line to distinguish between VIP buyers and regular admissions buyers. We were told to stand on one line and then we were told to stand on a several different line, which really wasn’t a line. People were rushing to the the front and pushing one another. So it became hectic and disorganized. Staff and security could’ve done much better with providing organization and a speedy check in process.
Secondly, as VIP ticket holders we didn’t get preference nor the true value that was promised to us. Paying about 30 bucks for a ticket (Groupon) we didn’t get any food platter (which the lady told us that those food platters didn’t come. Also the food that we had to pay for was expensive and mediocre which was sad. As a VIP guest, we should’ve definitely had a sample platter of all the foods available.
Thirdly, it seems like those who purchased regular admissions, received swag bags that is VIP holders got. So for all of that, we could’ve gotten the regular ticket.
Overall, there were good parts about the festival like the cheese and beer expiernce, the free samples, and the trinkets I paid for. But this festival is not worth the money you pay for the VIP ticket, I could’ve gotten more for my VIP ticket, but and is too...

Read moreIf I could give no star I would. Woke up this morning ready to support local vendors at the 2019 Famous Food Festival in Deer Park. My husband and I wanted to go with our two 22 week old American bullies. We checked all the websites online for their dog policies and NOWHERE was it written that dogs arent allowed. So we brought them with us. Standing on line we met 3 other dogs that had no vests on and the poodle breed waiting to enter the festival. They went in facing no questions and no problems. When it was our turn we went to hand our money over to this older blonde woman and she said your dogs are not allowed. I said why? She said well because of the breed. And just like that I flipped. Other women that worked there saw getting so aggravated and came over to tell me its not because of the breed and its because they are not service dogs. Thats funny...the 3 dogs that entered DID NOT HAVE SERVICE VESTS ON!!! Also do not keep apologizing to me! Since you've let in more than a handful of dogs you should have just let my dogs in. No instead they called security...I am beyond disgusted on how I was treated by these workers because of...
