Janie and Jack Outlet — Local services in Town of Babylon

I recently visited this baby store and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. Upon entering the establishment, instead of receiving the customary “Welcome to…”, we were abruptly told by the cashier 25 feet away that the store was closing in 15 minutes. I understand that stores have closing times and we were merely going to take a quick browse, but the manner in which this was communicated was rude and eliminated any desire to continue shopping. The clerk might as well have just said “We’re closed!”Customer service is an important part of the shopping experience, and I hope they can work on being more considerate and respectful to customers in the future! We headed over to Carter’s across the way, where we were warmly greeted by Cassie. She assured us there we were good with the time and don’t fret over it. Fully assisted us, extremely friendly. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with “we close in 15 mins”. Mind you the store is super small and all I wanted to do was quickly browse. I was so turned off that I left. I went across the way to carters, who let me tell you were OVERLY friendly. Greeted me, told me to take my time, helped me pick out some outfits, told me about the sales etc and this store is 10 times the size of Janie and Jack yet they weren’t worried about rushing me out.
