Public Storage — Local services in Town of Babylon

I went with my mother on 9/3/14 to the West Babylon Public Storage location to see the unit we reserved the day before online. Reserving online saved us almost $50, compared the in-store price, which was great. The salesperson who helped us in-store, named Juliette, was very nice and informative. She gave a very detailed explanation of the services provided there and our receipt. We set up a simple automatic payment plan which was very quick and easy. The only negative thing was that where our storage unit was located, on the 3rd floor of the building, is without air conditioning, so it was much hotter in there than it was outside. My mom was feeling faint, and Juliette offered her her own drink, which she didn't have to do and was a pleasant change from the usual apathetic store clerk. She also assured us that the air conditioning would be fixed promptly as an order for service had already been placed and she expected it to be as early as Friday, 9/5/14. All around it was a very good and easy experience, and I would recommend this storage facility to anyone who needs a storage unit quickly and easily. Thanks...

So far so good. Just moved in. Nice clean place with very good access hours good cameras for security. Update!!!!! I changed my 5 star rating to a 1 star rating and here's why. They give you a good monthly rate at first. Then after a few months of being there, they raise your rent. Mine went up $75 per month. Talked to a few people at the place that rent, they said they too were moving out because they just keep raising and raising your rent. I email them to find out why they raised my rent and all they said was that they are in line with other storage units in the area. NO THERE NOT! I moved out and went to Sunrise Storage in West Babylon an Sunrise Highway and I'm paying $75 less then when I left Public Storage. And one more note, they don't clean their bathrooms! When I was moving out, it took me three days, I had one of their largest units, and in that three days the bathroom was never touched. Urine all over the floor, toilet paper all over and the sink was very dirty. Garbage can was also full and never emptied during that three days I was...

BEWARE - ASTRONOMINCAL PRICE INCREASES AFTER ONE YEAR After having two 10x10 units for almost one year, I received an email that the rent on my units will be increasing from $290 to $375. This is a 29% increase in one year and is almost double what I see other climate controlled units going for in the area... As much as I don't want to spend an entire day loading up a truck and moving my things to a new unit somewhere else, I've done the math and I can save almost $2,500/ year by doing so.

When I tried to respond to the email addressing my concerns, I realized it is a "do-not-reply" email address and there is no publicly listed email address anywhere online for this location or public storage in general.

With the hours I work it's not convenient for me to call into the office during operation hours to speak to anyone about this so I was hoping to be able to email somebody in management or customer service but they don't offer that option for...
