U-Need-A Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

I go here all the time with my wife and my baby we order we sit in and eat,we never change what we eat. It's always the same,egg and cheese on a roll ,I sometimes eat a bagel w cream cheese and a mini bagel for my 18 months old baby..I always say no salt no pepper when I order eggs ,lately when I order with the Hispanic lady she started playing too much and ask me if I want hot sauce after telling her no salt no pepper, and last week the Asian lady cooking inside joined her by asking if I want hot sauce ?,hot sauce because I order no salt no pepper they wanna know if I want hot sauce? Over the kitchen...Ok so first I was annoyed then came to think of it maybe they just wanted my attention and trying to talk to me because they don't ask the same question to other patrons when they order eggs. I have gastritis and ulcers ,I can't have any hot sauce and I told them ,that day I got served my eggs with hot sauce,I told them and they fixed it by changing the roll to a bagel using the same eggs I could not eat it because the eggs smelled like hot sauce still and threw the eggs away and ate the plain bagel ,no big deal,stuff happens and for next visit the unnecessary questions stopped .Today the same lady drenched my pumpernickel bagel in to hot sauce then covered it with cream cheese I didn't notice the burn before I was half way thru the bagel.When I told her she started smiling looked at me like I was crazy, I had my wife taste it and she said told them it's very very hot, why don't you taste it????the whole bagel was smelling like vinegar and hot sauce...it caused great pain in my chest and my insides are burning,having trouble to breathe,and it would be even more painful when it leaves my body..The workers doesn't seem to have mental hygiene...I'm afraid to go back because next time she might punish me or my wife or the baby by putting liquid pesticide in our food... Drenching hot sauce on my bagel was the worst antic Ive ever...

Follow-up (2 weeks later): We visited in the morning when the bagels were not yet shelved in the display case. In order to help the attendant avoid repeatedly travelling to the back for every bagel we wanted, we mentioned all our chosen types upfront. The lady packaged up the bagels just as we made clear we want butter/spreads for the bagels. She was quick to accuse a native New Yorker of not knowing "that's how things work in New York". She aggressively cut, spread and wrapped our order. U-Need-A Bagels is a solid bagel place but this disappointing experience will prevent us from returning in-person for a while. We now order through one of the delivery platforms and get it cheaper.

Imagine your typical, thick bagel except fluffier and lighter so you don't feel bloated after your first or ten. U-Need-A Bagel has proven to be consistent with it's core offerings, and the cream cheeses are among them. The Everything bagel gets everything right, the Cinnamon Walnut Raisin cream cheese is moderately sweet and the Sesame is just toasty start to finish. There's room for improvement around presentation and pastry selection, but those are just bonuses over what is being served fresh all morning...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD.I go in for a buttered bagel warmed up.i pay and wait. The lady put my bagel(in a greasy wrapper) on their side of counter, and walked away and started helping other people. so I had to politely ask for a bag and napkins, ( guess they don't hand their customers their food,let alone no bag) I get the bagel, walk next door sit down, NO B.S. I bit one bite into the bagel and it was hard as a rock.to where I thought I chipped my tooth. No exaggeration. i said ok np, go back to try and ask for something different or just give me my money back, the bagel had 1 bite in it with the piece still in the wrapper. So I go to the lady,who was not helping anyone and explain to her politely what happened THE LADY SAYS, "o well nothing I can do , they're all like it" I was having the worst possible start to a saturday.she couldn't say " I'm so sorry, can I get you a different bagel? Or something else?" Nope nothing. Had me standing there looking like a fool complaining about a bagel. So after standing there lost for about 30 seconds I throw the bagel in the trash and walk out .Very unprofessional,highly disappointed and def DO...
