I live shopping at Pookie's and the Galleria! You can usually find just about everything you're looking for at a great place as long as you are patient enough to look for it. I love that Val (the owner) allows other small business owners to rent space for a great place who would otherwise have a hard time having a physical brick and mortar store. The staff is always friendly and helpful, always willing to do whatever they can to help you. This is also a consignment shop so you can bring your gently used items that you wish to get rid of to Pookie's and they will sell it for you. You can either keep the money you earn "in store" for future shopping needs or you can take it in cash; we have done both. They only ask that if you plan on taking more than $50 that you call ahead so they can...

What a find. They have a few stores and this one is large. I also went to another of their stores and found it to be good too. The prices are reasonable. Take your time rooting through the place and see what neat things that you can find. I found an AnnaLee doll and an antique eagle claw stick pin as well as an Indian brooch and pearl necklace and bracelet. Don’t let the large, empty mall in which it is situated be off putting. It seems as though the big stores moved out and now there are smaller, individual stores. They were nice to see and I hope that other small businesses decide to populate this mall. My mom has stopped in here several times to try and get the balance on the account paid out from items we brought that have sold. Each time she's told that there's not enough money in the drawer.
