I started looking for a jewelry store / jeweler who could create a pair of earrings incorporating both amethysts and pearls. I called at least 3 places who claimed they created custom pieces and each got back to me with the reply “we could’t find what you were looking for and to create a custom piece we would exceed your budget.” A friend recommended Stefan Otter. I had never heard of them but made an appointment to meet with Stefan and Mariela. They had ordered some things and were prepared with ideas of how they could create the look I wanted. After some time we decided to scratch my first idea and see if a different idea would work. I had tied some button knots. I asked if we could include the knots into the earrings. They loved the idea. After searching for a jewelry for 3 months, I finally found one willing to work with me. The earrings were completed in less than a month. They were able to work within my budget. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I guess if you don't fit a certain "look" there's no reason for her(the female half of the team) to treat you with kindness. She never gave her name. Very very rude. There is a way of talking to people and she was very condescending, short, and just rude. I was trying to inquire and learn more about buying my first piece of jewelry from a jeweler and why prices were the way they were and she kept saying well why don't you buy from the chain stores then, along with short condescending answers to my questions. She even said to go somewhere else. In addition the first time I went there she took people over me while I was trying to talk to her. I do appreciate her showing her true colors because I will let all my friends and family, some who make significantly more than me and therefore are able to afford their " expert" craftsmanship to...
