Jessie Nails — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

TLDR; My total bill was $70. I left a $20 tip to be charged to my card in the receipt. I then got followed out to my car by an employee demanding to know why I didn’t tip.

I went back today and was really happy with the new set that I got. I got a new tip set, gel. The price was $70 which was super reasonable. I left $20 Tip in the tip section on the receipt. I say my goodbyes and leave. Sitting in my car, I see a woman from the shop come out and come to my window and tell me I didn’t tip anything and wanted to know why I would not tip my nail tech. I looked at her confused and she again told me I didn’t tip. I told her I did and left $20 on the receipt for the tech. She then apologized and then the man that charged me came out and apologized as well saying he didn’t look at the receipt.

No matter how happy I am with my nails, I will not be going back. Who follows a customer to their car and demands a tip? Even if I didn’t leave a tip (which I would never do) it is beyond unprofessional to come up to a customers car and demand money when I’ve already paid for the service. What’s even worse is that customers in that shop heard the owners and techs saying I skipped out on tip and had to watch me get accused and demanded of in the parking lot when I left a generous tip.

10/2022: Myself and three family members went today for nails and pedicures for my wedding on Sunday. I rarely get my nails done but based on the reviews I had to come here.

Could not be happier. Staff members and clients alike were both so nice and amazing. The services were great. I got my brows waxed, acrylics and pedicure.

So let’s start by how much I searched for a good place to get my nails done. I was looking for somewhere affordable that got the job done very well. I came across this place and decided to try it. The lady that did my nails, wasn’t the most patient but I’m not too fussy about stuff like that to be honest- just putting it here for those who would want to know. Otherwise, she was okay with how pleasant she was. Most important thing was, she listened to what I wanted at every step. And my nails came out sooo beautiful, I can’t stop looking at them. My suggesting is to not be shy about telling them along the way that you don’t like something, or how they can fix it. They’re your nails and you’ll be the one stuck with them for weeks so let them know what you want and they’ll make it happen. Also, the price was very affordable. I paid way more elsewhere for a job less than what she did. I’m definitely going back!...
