Medford Shooting Range — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

This place is an absolute dirt hole to put it nicely! Brought my wife and kids to try it out and couldn’t be any more disappointed with the whole experience. If you choose to shoot here be sure you sign in for about a half an hour later than it actually is, they start the clock at the time you sign in. The you have to fill out paperwork for each shooter, choose the rifle you’d like to rent, buy ammo and targets, pay, then get set up in the range and the entire time is coming off your hourly range fee! On top of that the rental guns are all old unreliable worn out pieces of junk, both of the guns we rented needed to be exchanged for different ones( this also was charged to my hourly range fee) , I’d say we only got about a half an hour of shooting in by the time we got working guns and and all the other aforementioned stuff taken care of. The range monitor ( I believe his name was Charlie) was a condescending a$$ hole who should really take a class on customer relations! I absolutely do not recommend this place! I haven’t been to a whole lot of ranges in my life, I’d say maybe a dozen or so I’ve never been to a more poorly run range than this! Not buy...

I took my son to the shooting range for the first time on a cold day over a long weekend. I rented one rifle to shoot for an hr with 50ammos to start. It was around $52 for the gun rental and ammo. The front gentleman was very helpful and gave directions on how to use the gun. Anthony was very helpful as well. We also bought extra 150 ammos afterwards. An hr flew by, and my son definitely had a great time there. I only took 1 star off for the cost because I spent around $70 for an hr for the rental and 200 ammos. Was there just this week a couple of minutes after 7:00PM. Door was open and went downstairs to be told "Sorry we're closed, no entry after 7:00 because we close at 8:00" even though they were supposed to be open until 9:00. Waste of time and gas.

According to their web site and the sign by the door they're open to 9:00PM most nights yet I've been there several times during open hours to find them closed. Not a professional way to run a business. Be open during your posted hours. If you don't want to be open, change your site and signs.

Done with this place. Too bad, I enjoyed going there when one particular guy would be running the shop. He will be a pain in the a$$ but in a friendly/joking manner. Enjoyed...
