Tesla Science Center — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

This is the location of one of humanity's greatest failures. All because of man's greed, ignorance and short-sightedness. Oh how the world would be different. Right now, the center is closed to the general public while they revamp it. My electronics husband was thrilled, though, to see (through a chain link fence) the building in which he worked on his projects. You can also see a statue, and there are a couple of info kiosks accessible outside the fence. Unless you're just in the area, I recommend waiting until they reopen to visit. I'm sure it will be great...

True greatness always takes time. The 'Tesla Science Center' is a case in point. Because of it's patience in overcoming terrific odds, it's determined and knowledgeable leadership, it's dedicated staff of volunteers and, above all, the leadership's clarity of curatorial/academic vision, the TSC is poised to become one of the greatest science centers in the country. I personally can't wait to see it come...
