Osaka Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Very done with this place. Their sushi was always more expensive than other local places for the same quality—but once covid hit, they went even higher. Now, I understand the pricing on everything went up, but tell me why, for example, they are charging $8 for ONE order of sashimi, when their competitors like Okeno and Kotobuki are charging $4 and $3.50, respectively? I kept going out of sheer convenience and proximity to my home, but after tonight, I'm done. I ordered 2 filet mignon hibachi dinners to go, spent $70 after a 20% tip with barely a thank you, only to find out when I got home...I recieved sirloin. I was not going back or calling them because that was the last straw. Whether an honest mistake or they were trying to cut corners, it was just enough (and not the first time I had quality issues on take-out with them).

Where do I start. I live no where in the area and even after the reviews I read I still gave the chance. First I have to agree that the woman was very rude and had her face in her phone. My food wasn't ready and said come back but made me pay. They charge dinner prices for there lunch but hey I thought why not. OMG what I got is a joke. 3 spring rolls for 5.25. Anywhere else I get 4 or 5 of then for that or less. Cold also. Funny food not ready and hor food cold. There Kani salad. I get prices are up and places use "filler" to make portions. This was very small and ALL cucumber. We know it's fake crab but really? Neither very small but taste horrible. Sour cucumber salad it should be called. The sushi. The price and size and presentation is horrific. I say please save your money and don't go here EVER. If I lived closer I would have returned everything. Such a disappointment...

Just reopened for takeout only. Ordered 25 minutes ahead. They have constructed a kind of bank teller storefront in the door, with a slide through drawer for paying and a shelf with a doot to pass the food through. The only problem is nobody is stationed in the front, they run away for 10-15 minutes at a time. When I finally spoke to someone they told me my order wasn't ready and wait on the side. 30 more minutes of waiting, a line of a dozen people. No communication. A terrible experience.
